The Famous: Watching the Watched
  • The exes in February. - Jason LaVeris/FilmMagicJason Mraz says he's called off his wedding with fiancee Tristan Prettyman. The "I'm Yours" singer proposed just last September, and they broke up "very recently but in a loving way," he tells the Daily Beast in a TMI interview that supposedly caused his publicist to panic.

The oversharey Mraz brought up the broken engagement after writer Ramin Sedooteh inquired about his "favorite mistake."

"My greatest mistake right now is, I've been clinging to my art," he said. "In that, I have victory for my art and a great loss for my heart. At the moment, my beautiful fiancee is no longer my beautiful fiancee."

The New Age-y singer added: "Two halves don't make a whole. Two wholes make a whole. In my relationship, I was giving myself away to make the relationship better, but in actuality, wasn't doing any better by doing that. I became less of a man."

As for Prettyman, a fellow singer-songwriter, Mraz says they're still friends who surf together, blah blah blah. Is he still the man of her

  • She does her own stunts. - Jeffrey Mayer/WireImageWho knew Anne Hathaway had it in her? The good girl actress gave a stuntman a black eye when she accidentally clocked him with the butt end of a gun, The Sun reports.

Hathaway, who's filming a role as Catwoman in the next Batman movie, was reportedly so embarrassed, she bought the guy a silver pen engraved with the words: "Remember no one packs a punch like Anne."

Hathaway "got a bit carried away during a fight scene and mistakenly shoved the butt of the gun right into the actor's eye socket," a source says. "He came away with a massive black eye -- Anne was mortified."

A rep for the star did not immediately respond to our request for comment. Meanwhile, it looks like Hathaway is going all Method as Batman's butt-kicking feline foe. To that we say ... meow.

  • Snooki is a Single Girl Again

Snooki and Jionni. - Jean Baptiste Lacroix/WireImageUsually Europe fosters romance (just ask Leo and Blake), but -- for Snooki -- Europe has brought her heartache.

The brightest of the "Jersey Shore" stars is currently filming the fourth season of the reality show in Florence, Italy with the rest of her cast. She had boyfriend of eight months Jionni LaValle (seen briefly in season three as the guy whose name Snooki forgot while they were in bed together) come visit her in Italy but, apparently, things did not go well.

Us Weekly confirms the two have split and that LaValle returned to the United States early. This means we are all but assured lots of footage of dunken Snooki screaming/crying this coming season.

What with this and her recent car accident it would appear Snooki and Italy are not agreeing all that well.

  • Nicole Kidman Gets Her Social Media On

First Gwyneth Paltrow; now another Oscar winning actress is taking a dive into the world of social media.

Nicole Kidman has posted this sort of awkward video on her official YouTube channel (yes, for some reason Nicole Kidman has an official YouTube channel). She doesn't really say much, other than thanking her fans a number of times in a manner more befitting of a Disney television star than a pedigreed actress.

But there is something nice and endearing about her apparent nervousness about the whole endeavor. When she says she's "kind of shy," we actually believe her.

  • Jim Spellman/WireImageKevin Mazur/WireImageLooks like Michelle Williams has a new man. The pixie actress was spotted in Brooklyn with director Cary Fukunaga, reportedly smiling nonstop as they walked, shopped and grabbed a bite in her neighborhood.

Fukunaga certainly fits the profile of Williams' previous boyfriends: he's a brainy hipster with an indie sensibility, like Heath Ledger and Spike Jonze, whom she dated following Ledger's death. She's been single for some two years since splitting from Jonze in 2009.

Fukunaga's movie credits include the acclaimed 2011 update "Jane Eyre," co-starring Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender. (Listen to his NPR interview about "Eyre" here.) According to his bio on Wikipedia, he's 33 years old and lives in New York; his father is Japanese and his mother is Swedish.

Anyhoo, it's been a LONG time since Williams has dated someone. The actress recently shot down rumors she was more than friends with Ryan Gosling, her co-star in "Blue Valentine." For some reason, she's anti the idea of that.

  • Damon Lindelof knows a thing or two about geeky things, and acting: he created "Lost," which is hands down one of the greatest (and best-acted) TV shows ever of all time. Like most fanboys, Lindelof saw "X-Men: First Class" on its opening weekend -- and afterward, he seized the opportunity to mock January Jones, who portrays Emma Frost.

    Damon Lindelof/Twitter

That's way harsh, Lindelof. We haven't yet seen the film, but Mark Lisanti -- the deputy editor of Yahoo! Entertainment's new blogs, one of which is yours truly -- tells us Jones was indeed the worst part of it. These days, however, the "Mad Men" ice queen's acting -- which has been criticized as wooden -- has taken a backseat to her style and personal life: what she's wearing on the red carpet, who she's dating and whose child she's carrying.

In a recent interview with The Famous, "X-Men" actress Zoe Kravitz humored us by describing her co-stars in one word. She glowingly praised various castmates as "brilliant," "talented," "kind" and "hilarious,"

  • The recent widespread reports that "Harry Potter" star Emma Watson left Brown University due to bullying were a bit hard to take. The 21-year-old seems pretty well-adjusted and easy-going and it seemed sad to think that mean-spirited taunts would derail her entire life.

So we feel relieved to find out that this was, in fact, not what led to Emma's departure.

"It made me so sad when all this stuff came out that I left Brown because I was being bullied. It made no sense at all. Brown has been the opposite. I've never even been asked for an autograph on campus. I threw a party for nearly 100 students and not a single person put a photo on Facebook," she told the Sunday Times Style Magazine.

She did indicate, though, that there may have been a few toolish Brown students who occasionally gave her a hard time.

"Anyway, even if I was being given a hard time, I wasn't going to wuss out of university because someone said 'Wingardium leviosa' to me in a corridor, or 'Ten points for Gryffindor,'"

  • Blue looks good on her. - Casey Steele/WireImageThis is not a still photo from a movie where Dakota Fanning portrays a high school graduate. It's an image of the 17-year-old former child actress actually GRADUATING with the Class of 2011 at North Hollywood's Campbell Hall Episcopal High School, where she was a cheerleader and Homecoming Queen.

Here are five things we realized from this milestone in Fanning's life:

    1. The "Twilight" star skipped Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, where the vamp saga cleaned up, in order to prepare for her graduation ceremony. That's dedication.

    2. She might be the only young actress today who's listening to Reese Witherspoon's sage advice on the dangers of sexting, sex tapes and reality shows.

    3. She might be the only young actress today who chose to have a normal teenage life, more or less out of the spotlight.

    4. It's slightly scary when child stars grow up (see: Frankie Muniz). Fanning is an exception, and has pleasantly outgrown the "precocious" thing. Can we be honest here? She was kind of an

  • The Happiest Girl on Earth? - Kristy Sparow/WireImageNow that they're back from their European vacation, one might have assumed Leonardo DiCaprio and Blake Lively would take their romance to Los Angeles' trendiest restaurants and bars -- maybe have a night out at a club.

But instead, the new couple had their first American date (that we know of) at Disneyland. After the MTV Movie Awards Sunday night, Lively (who presented an award with "Green Lantern" co-star Ryan Reynolds) was spotted with DiCaprio and a group of pals at the amusement park.

Predictably, they received the VIP treatment, as the group was "escorted via private entrance" to the front of the "Star Wars"-themed "StarTours" ride at 11 p.m., and then was seen with a tour guide outside the penny arcade on "Main Street" later in the night.

Us Weekly reports that Lively was wearing a "knit smock and a face-concealing hat," while DiCaprio wore "jeans, windbreaker and a hat."

This must have fulfilled some long-gestating fantasy of Lively's, considering that she was 10 when she

  • The one and only Gaga. - Randy Brooke/Getty ImagesThey're saying this is Lady Gaga, but we are honestly still skeptical.

Maybe it's just us, but sometimes we feel like there are three or four different women roaming around who alternate taking on the role of Gaga? Is this woman really the same as the Gaga we see up close in the Google Chrome ad for example?

Anyway, a nearly unrecognizable Gaga dressed like this for the CFDA Awards at Lincoln Center last night where she was honored with the Fashion Icon Award.

We've seen the sky high heels many times before, and the Nicki Minaj-esque wig is reminiscent of her "Alejandro" music video look and recent Vogue cover. And if you think her boobs look like they're itching to escape here, check out this (potentially NSFW) picture Nicola Formichetti posted of Gaga later in the evening.
