    • Han Myung-Gu/WireImageDuring a Q&A with Brad "Happiness Is Overrated" Pitt after a screening of "Moneyball," a man in the audience confessed he'd been contemplating suicide but felt renewed hope because of the film. Pitt's response, via DListed:

Look, man, life is up and down, it's a vicious cycle, but you have to go through it and deal with that. You can be down, but then you come back up again, and every failure can lead to success.

If this Sexiest Actor Alive thing doesn't work out, Pitt has a second career as a life coach.

    • Lester Cohen/WireImageYesterday it was ScarJo and Blake. Today in Celebrity Catfights, we have a pair of striking brunettes: Anne Hathaway and Jessica Biel, who we'll jokingly refer to as Single White Hathaway based on a ridiculously entertaining, take-it-with-a-grain-of-salt gossip item from the National Enquirer (via Celebitchy). According to the tabloid, the newly engaged Catwoman took Justin Timberlake's on-again girlfriend to task for complaining in an Elle magazine interview about losing roles to Hathaway in the upcoming "Batman" movie as well as the big-screen adaptation of "Les Miserables." Choice Biel quote: "I auditioned for Fantine, and I sang 'I Dreamed a Dream.' I didn't get it. I would have loved it." (She was also bummed about not getting "The Notebook.") An "insider" tells the Enquirer that Hathaway warned Biel to zip it, or else:

    • Donald Bowers/Getty ImagesKris Humphries is going rogue. On Thursday, the bitter pro-baller filed to annul his marriage to Kim Kardashian and clear it from the public record. Today its surfaces, via Radar Online, that his agenda is not so much religious (he's anti-divorce) but revenge-inspired: if a California judge grants an annulment, then that means the couple's private prenuptial agreement will also be null and void, thereby releasing Humphries to tell his side of the soap opera.

"The confidentiality aspect of the prenup is extensive and was created just in case things went bad, neither Kim nor Kris could discuss their relationship to the media. But now, Kris wants to be able to talk about the relationship without fear of being sued," quoth a Humphries source, causing devil horns to sprout from Kris Jenner's head.

    • Jennifer Lopez's 24-year-old backup dancer boyfriend is venting on Twitter over mean comments about his relationship with the divorcing diva. In an apparent moment of sadness and desperation, Casper Smart posted this dramatic message to the haters:

      Casper Smart/Twitter

He then retweeted a flurry of messages from supporters like @Prettyboymiguel, who wrote: "Why are ppl judging @Caspersmart no 1 knows how long @JLo was separated be4 she announced the divorce ppl need 2 stop being so quick 2 judge."

Smart, who flew to Morocco with Lopez on Thursday for her performance at a mall in Casablanca, might be freaking out now, but in time, if this May-December romance pans out, he'll have to get used to all the attention, good and bad: it's part of the gig of dating Jenny from the Block.

    • Jonathan Leibson/FilmMagicMeet Scott-Vincent Borba, "beauty mogul to the stars." According to Radar, he has been dating Demi Moore since last week. Says a source: "They have known each other a long time and he's really been there for her by her side through the whole Ashton thing."

Borba, a thirtysomething with perfectly shaped Jennifer Connelly brows, owns his own line of skincare products. (Note his glossy, wrinkle-free forehead.) He's "head over heels for Demi and there's definitely potential for a lasting relationship between them," adds the source, who may or may not have been a prank caller.

Somewhere, Ashton Kutcher continues his Orlando Bloom-in-"Elizabethtown" phase, unaware that Moore has moved on with a man whose eyebrows are more perfect than his.

    • Eugene Gologursky/WireImageWait, Courtney Love's giving Lindsay Lohan sobriety advice? So claims the unfiltered grunge icon in an interview for a Details feature on recovering addicts.

"I've taken up Lohan because nobody else will," declares Love in the magazine's December issue, noting that the 25-year-old actress is "further down the line than I was, because there was no TMZ then."

Well, that's apparently news to Lohan. "Completely untrue. Not now, not in the past, never," her publicist, Steve Honig, tells The Famous.

    • Kevin Winter/Getty ImagesJon Kopaloff/FilmMagicSome engagement news for "Friday Night Lights" fans, via People.com: a source says Zach Gilford, who portrayed sensitive football star Matt Saracen on the cult TV drama, is getting married to his girlfriend of more than a year, actress Kiele Sanchez.

Gilford, 29, and Sanchez, 35, appeared together in an ABC pilot called "The Matadors," which never got picked up. Sanchez, who had a small part as Nikki Fernandez on "Lost," now stars in the guilty-pleasure A&E crime dramedy "The Glades."

When reached by The Famous, Gilford's publicist declined comment. A representative for Sanchez could not immediately be reached.

    • VevoSometimes Mariah Carey behaves like she's 14 years old. And sometimes she behaves inappropriately with 17-year-old pop stars who look like they're 14 years old. (Sorry, Justin Bieber, just facing facts here.) If you're so inclined, check out the new music video for our favorite holiday song, re-mixed with the vocal stylings of Bieber and Carey as "Stacy's Mom"-in-Santa drag.

(All we want for Christmas is to un-see those images of Bieber A) doing that weird dance with his arms and B) cackling flirtatiously in a sleigh with a woman who could be his mother.)

    • Exposure to red carpets at a young age breeds cynicism. (Noel Vasquez/WireImage)Mason Disick is the only Kardashian product we want to buy into: he's cute as a button, his on-camera antics are never staged and he turns 2 years old this month. As it happens, America also adores the Kardashling -- or maybe just his moniker. The name "Mason" appears third for boys in a new list of 2011's most popular baby names, released today by Babycenter (via SFGate).

Aiden lands at No. 1, followed by Jackson in second, then Mason, then Liam, then -- here we go -- Jacob, which used to be a respectable name but has now been slightly tarnished by "Twilight" and inappropriate images of a shirtless Taylor Lautner. Glergh. Back to Mason: according to Babycenter, the trendy toddler son of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick influenced an eight-spot leap to No. 3 for boys, a significant spike -- in popularity -- ahead of his mom's name and those of his aunts, specifically Khloe and Kylie. ("Kimberly" saw a mini-increase but we predict a huge drop in 2012, given the backlash and all.)

    • Alo Ceballos/FilmMagicThis Kardashian divorshian is getting uglier by the millisecond: Kris Humphries seeks to annul their 72-day marriage and clear it completely from the record. The charge: FRAUD.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian is telling "close friends" -- and, conveniently, TMZ -- that she legitimately fell in love with Humphries and did not defraud him into having a faux fairytale wedding-turned-nightmare:
