Both Canadian actress Rachel McAdams ("The Notebook") and Australian-born leading lady Nicole Kidman ("The Hours") tried out the lace trend in the "Mirabella" dress by Collette Dinnigan within just three days of each other. Now it's up to us to decide ... who wore it better?

Rachel, 33, rocked the design to promote her new tearjerker, "The Vow," in Munich, Germany, on January 30. She added black pumps and left her now-blond locks in curls cascading over her shoulders.
Nicole, 44, chose the look for her appearance at the 2012 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards in West Hollywood, California, on January 27. The "Moulin Rouge" star accessorized with strappy silver sandals and left her strawberry-blond strands down.
OK, it's time to call this style battle, which is tough since both ladies are working the look. Nicole's coloring against the dress is absolutely gorgeous, but Rachel's frock fits better, making her look more polished overall. I think, then, it comes down to the choice of shoes, and the answer there is clear: Rachel's black footwear makes her look frumpy from the hemline down, while Nicole's skimpy shoes ensure the view of her long and lean silhouette is uninterrupted. For me, Nicole is the winner. Do you agree?
