Maybe they're born with it?
When it comes to Hollywood, there are two types of stars: ones who say they live by a strict regimen of diet and exercise to maintain their big-screen-ready bodies, and (annoyingly) those who … are apparently blessed with a superior skinny gene.
[Related: Jennifer Lawrence Reaps Her Long Locks!]
Jennifer Lawrence just won an Oscar, is starring in the second installment in one of Hollywood's biggest franchises, "Hunger Games: Catching Fire," and is successfully rocking a hard-to-pull-off pixie cut … could things be any better for the 23-year-old actress?
Apparently, yes. According to the svelte star, she doesn't even have to log in hours at the gym to keep her enviable physique.

We wouldn't necessarily expect a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model to channel the look of a duchess, but that's exactly what Kate Upton did when she nearly knocked off the style of the queen of class, Kate Middleton. This time it's a fashion battle of the Kates!
What they wore: The Duchess of Cambridge donned a cream Alexander McQueen double-breasted dress coat and a Lock and Company hat. The 21-year-old model wore a similar cream peplum suit with silver buttons down the front, and a black fascinator.
When they wore it: Upton opted for the demure look at the VRC Oaks Club Luncheon at the Melbourne Cup on Wednesday. Middleton tried out the classic ensemble at Trooping the Colour, the official commensuration of Queen Elizabeth's birthday in July 2011.

Scarlett Johansson has been named Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive — again!
"I'm the only woman to win twice right?" the "Don Jon" star asks the magazine, which gave her the same honor back in 2006. "You know, I gotta hustle. I'm a 28-year-old woman in the movie business, right? Pretty soon the roles you're offered all become mothers. Then they just sort of stop. I have to hedge against that with work-theater, producing; this thing with Esquire."
The actress has definitely been keeping herself busy. In between films, Johansson got engaged to French journalist Romain Dauriac over the summer.

True love has been elusive for Taylor Swift.
The country singer, 23, has had a string of high-profile relationships with some of Hollywood's biggest heartthrobs. However, despite those cute PDA pix and the sweet love songs she has written (not to be confused with those scathing breakup songs she's also know for), she has never felt a true connection to any of them.
Talking relationship deal breakers in the November issue of Glamour U.K., Swift — whose exes include Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Harry Styles, Taylor Lautner, Conor Kennedy, and Joe Jonas (whew!) — said that she actually doesn't have any. The Nashville resident keeps an open mind about everything when she is getting to know a potential mate.
"If you have enough natural chemistry with someone, you overlook every single thing that you said would break the deal," said Swift, sounding like a hopeless romantic.

Jada Pinkett Smith is coming clean … about life and addiction.
The mother of two, who turned 42 on September 18, opened up in a diary-like post on her Facebook page and used her birthday milestone to reflect on her past.
"What I learned about myself is this, when I was younger I was not a good problem solver, meaning I had a very difficult time with dealing with my problems in life. I had many addictions, of several kinds, to deal with my life issues, but today, at 42, I have my wisdom, my heart and my conscience as the only tools to overcome life's inevitable obstacles. I have become a good problem solver with those tools, and I am damn proud. Thank you for all the love that was given to me for my birthday this year."
While Smith doesn't divulge exactly what her addictions were, unhealthy habits have been a constant presence in her life. As a teen, Pinkett Smith was exposed to drugs as her own mother, Adrienne Banfield-Jones, struggled with substance abuse.

Jon Hamm debuted a new full beard at the 65th Emmy Awards on Sunday, but it looks like he might need to shave it off soon … for surgery.
The "Mad Men" actor, 42, is set to go under the knife for throat surgery in Boston later this week, Life & Style reports.
"[Hamm's 'Mad Men' co-star] January Jones was talking about it at the Fox Emmys afterparty last night," a source tells the mag, which reports that he has two large polyps on his vocal cords that need to be removed.
A source tells omg! that Hamm was also discussing his upcoming surgery last night at the post-Emmys "Losers Party" that he co-hosted with Amy Poehler at Soho House in West Hollywood. However, the source adds that the situation isn't terribly dramatic, and he was never coughing up blood as Life & Style reports.
Jon's rep has yet to respond to omg!'s request for comment.

When you date Taylor Swift, it's part of the deal.
Just like you know you're going to spend some time doing DIY projects and hanging out with the 23-year-old's cat Meredith, you also know going in that one day, the blue-eyed songstress will be strumming her guitar to a tune about you . There's already "Dear John" (John Mayer), "All Too Well" (Jake Gyllenhaal?), "Back to December" (Taylor Lautner?), and a few others.
Harry Styles, who called it quits with the songstress in January after two months of dating, says that as a fellow musician, he understands that his relationship with Swift will be fodder for her songs.
"It would be hypocritical for me to say she couldn't do it because everybody writes songs based on personal experience," Styles, 19, tells Us Weekly. "I can't say I'd have dated someone less famous to avoid it."
He jokes, "At least she’s a great songwriter!"
It certainly doesn't sound like Swift has to worry about Styles saying something nasty about her in the One Direction movie that opens August 30.
She didn't even turn the boy bander against dating another celebrity.

Well, that was fast.
Chris Brown checked himself in and out of jail in a matter of minutes on Monday, for charges stemming from his alleged hit-and-run case back in May.
According to Los Angeles Sheriff's Department records, Brown turned himself in at 2:40 p.m. at Van Nuys Valley Jail, and was released at 3:22 p.m. with no bail set. A rep for the singer noted that getting booked was the next necessary step in having a judge actually hear Brown's case.
"Two counts against Chris Brown were dismissed yesterday in relation to the Hit and Run charge to which Chris pleaded Not Guilty," Brown's rep said in a statement. "In order for the charge to be heard by a judge, Chris has to be officially booked. We expect this charge to be dismissed as well, as the lawyer for the driver in this case clearly specified that his client did not want to press charges."
It's not uncommon for Los Angeles residents booked on misdemeanor charges to be set free quickly based on their own recognizance, due to overcrowding in the L.A. jails. Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and Nicole Richie have all checked in and out just as fast in the past.

Are you ready for a lot more Lindsay in your life?
The troubled actress is about to be back in the headlines in a big way this month, starting with her release from her court ordered 90-day inpatient rehab, which is set to occur any day now.
E! announced Monday afternoon that Lohan's first post-rehab gig will be as a guest host on "Chelsea Lately" on Monday, August 5. She'll be taking over for regular host Chelsea Handler and "interacting with Chuy, running the roundtable, and interviewing a celebrity guest." "Chelsea Lately" airs weeknights at 11:00 p.m. on E!
The comes on top of the OWN network's announcement that Oprah Winfrey is set to sit down with the celebrity news headliner for a multi-part interview later set to air this month. Additionally, OWN will air an eight-party documentary series with Lohan sometime in 2014, which follows her journey to get her career back on track.

The Paula Deen drama has reached a new boiling point.
Before being dropped like a bad biscuit by the Food Network, the celebrity chef issued an apology, scheduled an appearance on "The Today Show," bailed on that appearance (seriously irking Matt Lauer) and issued a follow-up video apology, begging for forgiveness. In other words, her recovery efforts got off to a rocky start.
That's why it's no surprise that several other behemoth brands associated with Deen are threatening to pull the plug on their partnerships. At least she's managed to reschedule that date with Lauer.
On Sunday, a representative for the shopping network QVC, which hawks Deen's cookware, issued a statement to People expressing "concerns [over] the unfortunate ... situation," and adding, "QVC does not tolerate discriminatory behavior."
