Julianne Hough is turning into quite the leading lady!
The 24-year-old, who was once best known as one of the pros on "Dancing With the Stars," dazzled in an ethereal Alberta Ferretti dress at the Hollywood premiere of her latest film, "Safe Haven." Hough donned the light gray, intricately beaded gown with Martin Katz jewels, a Judith Leiber clutch, and an elegant updo.

Although Ryan Seacrest's best gal has usually starred in movies that are heavy on dancing, such as "Footloose" and "Rock of Ages," her latest flick is focused on relationships. The romantic drama is penned by Nicholas Sparks, the man behind "The Notebook" and "Dear John," and directed by Lasse Hallstrom of "The Cider House Rules" and "Dear John." In it, Hough plays a woman haunted by a dark secret who moves to North Carolina and forms a bond with a widower, played by Josh Duhamel, who shows her to find strength in the power of love. Hough didn't go from a reality TV competition to singer to actress by accident. As she recently explained to Cosmopolitan, it was all part of a detailed list of goals that she developed when she was a 10-year-old girl back home in Utah.
"By the time I was 18, I wanted to be a professional dancer: I happened to be on 'Dancing With the Stars.' When I was 19, I wanted to be a singer: At that age, I had my first record out," she revealed to the mag. "I said by the time I'm 22, I wanted to be a movie star...."
Is red carpet icon next on her list?
"I want to say I'm schizophrenic with my fashion," she told People in November. "One day I'm feeling a certain way and I'm very feminine. And then the next day, I'm a little bit more edgy with leather. And some days I like to wear men's clothing."

And then some days, she even seeks input from Seacrest. Back at the 2012 Grammy Awards, she credited Seacrest with selecting her dress.
However, in September, Seacrest revealed that Hough ignored his opinion when it came to selecting her red carpet gown for the Emmys.
But whatever Hough's wearing, it's fair to say that Seacrest approves.
"She's so beautiful ... stunning," Seacrest raved about his lady love on E!'s "Chelsea Lately" last month. "She is phenomenal. She's the best part of every day."
Sounds like Hough has her boyfriend trained well...
