Fashion Faceoff: Angelina Jolie vs. Kate Middleton

Our fashion battle this week is between the unofficial queen of Hollywood and a lady of the British royal family. Both beauties were snapped in the same one-shoulder Grecian gown by Jenny Packham in different shades six months apart. Unfortunately, though, only one woman can wear this crown. So, you know the drill ... it's time for us to decide just who wore it best!

Angelina, 36, donned the dress in red while on the red carpet for the L.A. premiere of partner Brad Pitt's movie "Tree of Life" in May. The "Salt" star accessorized with minimal jewelry from Tiffany & Co. and tousled tresses.

Kate, 29, also known as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, modeled the design in silver while hosting a dinner at St. James' Palace in London last week to raise funds for England's National Memorial Arboretum. She paired it with a red poppy pin for the country's Remembrance Day, a diamond bracelet, down 'do, and, of course, Prince William by her side.

First, this frock is fabulous -- in any color! And, of course, it looks beautiful on both of the women's svelte figures. Angelina wins props for selecting such an attention-grabbing shade, but she loses points for her barely-there makeup and messy hair. The actress looks as if during her philanthropic trips around the world she forgot about the premiere and just happened to throw on something gorgeous at the last minute for the occasion. Meanwhile, give credit to Kate for choosing an elegant hue and for styling her garment with polished hair and makeup that result in a sophisticated style befitting someone in line for the queen's throne. I say Kate's the winner. Do you agree?
