Less than two months after he and actress Camilla Belle were spotted together on a date, the couple has reportedly called it quits. “It just didn’t work out,” a source tells Us Weekly. A rep for the “10,000 BC” actress did not respond to omg!’s request for a comment.
Tebow, 25, and Belle, 26, have managed to keep their brief romance out of the public eye. Even though they posed side by side (but not together) on the red carpet at the Met Gala in May, no one had a clue they were actually an item until October 30 when someone snapped a photo of the duo out with friends at a Jacksonville, Florida, bowling alley. "They were grabbing kisses and holding hands," a source told Us Weekly at the time. "He put his arm around her a few times." Still, neither star said a word about the extent of their relationship.
While Belle may be disappointed things didn’t work out with the deeply religious athlete, there’s one A-Lister who is likely reveling in the news: Taylor Swift! The singer, 23, who is now happily dating One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles, 18, was herself briefly linked to Tebow in February and has long been at odds with the gorgeous actress ever since she replaced her as Joe Jonas’ girlfriend in October 2008. Swift famously slammed Belle in her 2010 song “Better Than Revenge,” about a boyfriend-stealing starlet who is fashionable and went to prep school – a description that fits Belle to a T. “She's not a saint, and she's not what you think, she's an actress,” sniped Swift on the track. “She's better known for the things that she does on the mattress.” Then in January 2011, literally days after Jake Gyllenhaal ended things with Swift, Belle was there again sitting next to him at the Art of Elysium “Heaven” Gala –flashing her mega-watt smile.
Although Swift painted Belle as a promiscuous temptress in her song, the actress’ dating history is reportedly anything but. Both Tebow and Jonas, 23, are self-described virgins saving themselves for marriage (or at least Jonas was when Belle was with him…he ditched his purity ring soon thereafter).
