After patching things up — and sharing a steamy poolside kiss — Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have gone their separate ways again … for "Twilight."
With the promotion of the final film in the vampire series underway, Pattinson touched down in Australia over the weekend. The 26-year-old appeared glum as he sat alone for photos in scenic Sydney Harbor on Monday. RPattz's hair was as wild as ever and his face scruffy for the photo call. Dressed in jeans and a button down shirt, he didn't smile much during the shoot and at one point held his hand to his head. We're sure he was going for a sexy pose, but it looked more like he had a stomach bug. Perhaps he was just missing Stewart.

Later, Pattinson did a clothes switcheroo before attending a "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2" fan event at Fox Studios in Sydney. His mood seemed equally as somber when he first arrived, wearing a funny blue printed shirt that was covered with colored shapes. But when the British star went to greet some of his fans, his mood softened and he started to unleash his trademark smile. He happily posed for photos with the scores of waiting women (and a few men!), even grabbing their cameras and snapping many of the photos himself.

Meanwhile, Stewart was thousands of miles away as she touched down at the Narita International Airport outside Tokyo on Monday to do her part promoting the movie. The 22-year-old actress — whose fling with her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders in July briefly fractured her relationship with Pattinson — was dressed down as she walked through the terminal, wearing all black — down to her high-top Converse sneakers. She also had a cap on backwards and was carrying a bright yellow backpack. She also stopped to pose with fans, and — gasp — smiled a few times too.

For now, Pattinson and Stewart will be on their own fulfilling their promotional duties, but it's just a matter of time until they are reunited — and it will be in front of the world. This weekend, they will both be in Los Angeles for the press junket along with the rest of the cast, including Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, and Michael Sheen. Then on November 12, they will walk the red carpet at the world premiere of the film, which will take place in Hollywood.
Back on their home turf in L.A., there's no doubt they will be spending time at Stewart's new home, which is just a stone's throw away from her old place that she shared with Pattinson. The actress recently dropped $2.195 million on a 3,361-square-foot mansion in Los Feliz. It was there that she and Pattinson were photographed kissing by her pool last week. Just a few days earlier they enjoyed a night out with friends at Ye Olde Rustic Inn, which is in the same neighborhood. They cuddled up outside the dive bar and then left together.

It will be interesting to see if Pattinson and Stewart decide to get cuddly or show any PDA at all on the red carpet at the "Twilight" premiere next month. Our money is on no — while they'll pose together, they'll be reserved — but we're still eager to see how it plays out.
