Ozzy Osbourne: ‘Sharon and I Are Not Divorcing’

Ozzy Osbourne says the rumors that his marriage is over are just that: rumors.

After gossip continued to grow that he and his wife of over 30 years, Sharon, had split, he addressed the topic — and more! — in a candid post on Facebook on Monday.

"For the last year and a half, I have been drinking and taking drugs," the 64-year-old rocker, who has had past issues with substance abuse, wrote. "I was in a very dark place and was an a**hole to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober."

And still married.

"Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing," he noted. "I’m just trying to be a better person."

He concluded with a public apology to his loved ones — and his fans.

"I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends, and my band mates for my insane behavior during this period … and my fans."

Rumors that the couple's 31-year marriage was over reached fever pitch on Monday. Multiple reports stated "The Talk" co-host had moved out of their Los Angeles home and was living in a hotel. Because they have been candid about past marital problems — in 2004, they admitted on "The Howard Stern Show" that Ozzy cheated with multiple women in the early days of their marriage — the rumors grew.

Sharon, 60, has yet to speak out, but when she does, expect her to do so on her daytime talk show.
