JWoww and Roger are engaged! (In Touch Weekly)
JWoww is officially off the market! "Jersey Shore" star Jenni "JWoww" Farley, 27, and her longtime boyfriend Roger Mathews, 37, are engaged to be married. Mathews, who began romancing Snooki's BFF in the third season of the show, proposed to her during a skydiving session. "I look over and see a hand-written sign: 'Jenni, will you ... ' and then I turned to him and freaked out," Farley reveals in the new issue of In Touch. "The whole time I'm screaming, 'What are you doing? What's going on? He's like, 'I want to spend the rest of my life with you! Will you allow me to?'"
The surprise question also came with quite a rock! Mathews collaborated with jeweler Layna Friedman to design a cushion-cut diamond ring of more than 5 carats surrounded by 2.5 carats of pink and white diamonds in a white-gold setting. Between the bling and the unorthodox proposal, Mathews says he planned the big moment for months — and it sounds like it paid off! JWoww was thrilled and immediately responded with a yes. "It's more than I ever expected," she tells the magazine. "Roger's not an average-looking guy, he's huge: his personality, his size [6'4"]. So I always said, 'I want my ring like you — big! The bigger the better!'" The happy couple's engagement photo shows Mathews more dressed up than the "Jersey Shore" audience has ever seen, and JWoww donning a wedding-esque dress with, of course, that new sparkler.
Perhaps JWoww and Snooki will start planning a double wedding. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, the other star of "Jersey Shore" spin-off "Snooki and JWoww," announced her plan to wed Jionni LaValle at the same time that she announced the two were expecting in March. (The couple welcomed son Lorenzo in August.) Naturally, JWoww explains that Snooki was the first person she called with her bride-to-be news. "If there's anyone in this world that wanted me to be engaged more than me, it'd be Nicole," she says.
