Justin Timberlake steps out with his wedding ring

One day after saying "I do" to Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake was spotted sporting his wedding ring in southern Italy.

The 31-year-old was casually dressed in shorts while out with a friend Saturday in the town of Fasano, which is on the east coast of Italy's "heel." On Timberlake's left hand was the shiny new band that Biel, 30, slipped on his finger yesterday during their nuptials at the Borgo Egnazia resort in the Puglia region.

After exchanging vows in front of 150 family members and friends on Friday, Timberlake and Biel released a statement confirming that they had become man and wife. "It's great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends," they told People. The magazine will have exclusive photos and details of the wedding next week.

Us Weekly already has a few tidbits about the fancy affair at the Borgo Egnazia, an extensive five-star resort, which is steps away from the Adriatic Sea and boasts an 18-hole champion golf course, a cooking school, and a cigar lounge. The couple married in the chapel on the property. After the ceremony, they walked down a spiral staircase, where they were showered with heart-shaped flower petals by guests, including Andy Samberg, Beverley Mitchell, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Timbaland. The reception took place on the property as well.

It was actually Mitchell — Biel's "7th Heaven" co-star — who turned the couple on to Italy. In 2008, Timberlake and Biel visited the southern town of Ravello to attend Mitchell's wedding — and immediately fell in love with the country.

Italy has proven to be a popular place for many other celebrity weddings through the years, including the nuptials of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, who called it quits over the summer, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, and Giuliana and Bill Rancic, among others. So why Italy? "Why not Italy? It's one of the most romantic places in the world," Harmony Walton, whose company The Bridal Bar assisted Cruise and Holmes with their 2006 wedding, tells omg!. "It has everything a celebrity couple could want — a rich history and culture, incredible food and wine, wonderful people, views of the ocean or the countryside, boutique hotels and big luxury villas, major cities and easy access for travel from anywhere in the world, and lots of other activities to keep guests entertained on an extended vacation."
