“Haywire” badass Gina Carano, 30, had a handsome date on her arm at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday night – “Man of Steel” star Henry Cavill, 29.
After being spotted out several times together in the last few months, the duo went public with their relationship at the award show, at which the MMA fighter-turned-actress was nominated for Best Actress in an Action Movie for “Haywire.”

(Getty Images)While they didn’t verbally confirm that they are in fact an item, Cavill resting his hand on Carano’s lap as they sat side by side during the dinner spoke for itself. And on the red carpet, they weren’t shy about showing PDA – holding hands and then gazing into one another’s eyes (almost as if they were doing an engagement photo shoot).
The British hunk – known for his role in TV’s “The Tudors” as well as the film “Immortals” – was off the market until August when he ended his engagement to champion equestrian Ellen Whitaker. Meanwhile, Carano was previously engaged to fellow mixed martial artist Kit Cope.
There are big things happening for both Cavill and Carano professionally this year. He is expected to make a big splash playing Superman Clark Kent in the highly-anticipated film “Man of Steel,” which hits theaters in June. And there are rumors that Carano, who will appear in the upcoming “The Fast and the Furious 6,” could even have a cameo in the superhero flick. Cavill is also one of the names being bandied around for the role of Christian in the movie version of “50 Shades of Grey.”
