Uh oh! The claws are officially out on the “The Bachelor.”
After news broke that “The Bachelor” contestant Tierra LiCausi was engaged to a former boyfriend, another contestant was quick to judge the truthfulness of the story – her nemesis AshLee Frazier.
The two women, who feuded about the sincerity of each other’s personalities on the day of Tierra’s tearful departure on this week’s episode, have continued the drama off screen.
"If she is [engaged], I wish her all the best but it may just be a hoax. Who knows? You know how rumors are," the 32-year-old said to reporters on Wednesday. "With Tierra, we can't really put too much past her. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case."
Tierra, who quickly became the master of deception and drama on the hit ABC show, doesn’t seem like an unlikely candidate to try and make her 15 minutes of fame last a little longer by creating a fake engagement.
After all, paramedics were called twice to aid the Denver-bred contestant after she suffered a fall down a flight of stairs and caught hypothermia after taking a chilly dip in Lake Louise in Canada. On both occasions, Tierra convinced producers and paramedics that she didn’t need to go to a hospital, leading her fellow “Bachelor” contestants to speculate whether she was faking her ailments in order to get attention from Sean Lowe. Her tricks worked in both instances, as Lowe always dropped everything to comfort her.
Fans of the reality show caught wind of Tierra’s engagement after the 24-year-old posted a photo February 1 of her new bling on her Instagram account. She’s posted two pictures since then of her sparkler.
omg! reached out to ABC for a comment, but was told Tierra was not doing interviews. According to her brother, Tyler LiCausi, who confirmed the happy news to Wetpaint, the pair started dating three years ago. Tyler also explained that his sister’s fiancé, who remains unnamed, does not want to bring their relationship into the public eye.
"Her fiancé is a very private guy and doesn't like the spotlight," Tyler told E! News. "She doesn't want to do it because of all the negative publicity. She could go on to set the record straight, but who knows how they're going to edit it? People are still going to hate her."
We hope the news is true, but if the engagement is in fact a hoax, it would be tierrable.
