Sean Kingston performs for Pepsi Music.
Pepsi Music
Let's say you're a red-hot, 19-year-old reggae vocalist who just proved the doubters wrong by scoring your second smash-hit single (who are you callin' a one-hit wonder?). When it comes time to shoot your next video, what do you do?
Well if you're Sean Kingston, you hardly appear in the clip at all. And you couldn't be happier about it.
Kingston -- who had dance floors jumping this summer with "Fire Burning," much as he did in 2007 with the chart-topper "Beautiful Girls" -- just shot a clip for the second single off his new record, Tomorrow, called "Face Drop."
"I went to go shoot the video and I only had to shoot for like an hour and a half ... and I was done," Kingston recalled. "I was like, 'Dude, something is wrong, why is this video so short? ... This video is probably gonna be wack!' "
But what was really going on is he had an animated co-star -- a stylized, cartoonish version of himself -- who happily filled in for him. The end result? "Yo, this video is dope!" he exclaimed.
Check out the video below, in which Kingston explains what "Face Drop" is about, and then head over to Yahoo! Music to see the full music video, along with exclusive performances of the hits "Beautiful Girls," "Fire Burning," and, of course, "Face Drop."
