"The Real Housewives of New York City" returned to Bravo's airwaves Thursday night for another exciting season of petty fighting. Seriously, after watching the premiere episode, I had a headache from listening to all the bickering. Of course, that won't stop me from tuning in week after week to see all the drama that ensues between Ramona Singer, Alex McCord, Jill Zarin, LuAnn de Lesseps, Kelly Bensimon, and new cast members Sonja Morgan and Cindy Barshop. So far, Cindy -- a single, successful mother of twin baby girls -- seems to be the most likeable of the bunch, but I'm sure we have to give her a few more episodes before we see her true colors!
Fortunately, I'm not alone in my love for the reality franchise. Jimmy Fallon also happens to be hooked, so much so that he and his "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" crew (including announcer Steve Higgins, writers A.D. Miles and Bashir Salahuddin, and Owen Biddle of The Roots) have spoofed the show in an on-going sketch called "The Real Housewives of Late Night." They unveiled another hilarious episode on Thursday night, where Jimmy's "wife" Denise (who has all the mannerisms of Jill Zarin) is asked to take part in a photo shoot for Glamour magazine. But will Yvonne ruin Denise's big day?
