Kanye West must really be in love. While the rapper was in New York City on Monday to attend the Met Institute Costume Gala, his new girlfriend Kim Kardashian was spotted in Sherman Oaks, California … driving his $500,000 Mercedes McLaren. The reality star — dressed in a white tank top, tight black pants, and pink sneakers — first stopped at Barry's Boot Camp for some serious exercise, and then later refueled with lunch at a nearby Baja Fresh restaurant. "Just killed it in bootcamp!" Kardashian, 31, tweeted afterward. "I have the best days when I start it with a good workout!" — and a ride around town in that super-cool car, no doubt.
It's been over a week since "Kimye," as they're now being called, was spotted out in public together. In late April, Kardashian and West, 34, popped up all over NYC for dinner dates and shopping sprees, only to be interrupted for her day trip to Washington, D.C., to attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner as the guest of Fox News. A few days later, Kardashian headed back to the West Coast, but her man was still clearly on her mind. "It's great to be back in LA, but I'll miss the big city!" she wrote on her blog on May 5.
But although she seems eager to move forward with West — some reports even claim they're talking marriage — Kardashian's ex-husband of 72 days, Kris Humphries, is certainly throwing a wrench in her plans. She spent more than three hours at the office of her divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser, on Sunday afternoon to hash out the settlement. Two days prior, Wasser complained to a Los Angeles judge that she believed the NBA player's "personal feelings and maybe some media drive is keeping the case alive," citing the fact that Kardashian filed for divorce more than six months ago on October 31. "Certainly, they've been separated longer than they've been married," Wasser added, emphasizing that Humphries is purposely delaying the case. A source tells Us Weekly that the New Jersey Nets forward is hurt that Kardashian rebounded so quickly with West, and this is his revenge. "He's doing anything he can to get her attention," says the insider. "She would grant a divorce in a second. But he won't sign the papers. He won't let go."
Maybe Kim should let Kanye reason with him?
