Keira Knightley Engaged to Rocker James Righton

Keira Knightley will soon be playing a bride … in real life.

The British actress, who is best known to moviegoers as strong-willed and feisty Elizabeth Swann in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies, is engaged to musician James Righton, her rep announced Friday.

There are no further details about the wedding plans.

After a series of long-term relationships with actors Jamie Dornan and Rupert Friend, Knightley, 27, started seeing Righton, 28, in early 2011 and he popped the question just over a year later. Her fiancé is the keyboardist/vocalist for the London-based indie rock brand Klaxons.

The couple was reportedly introduced by model/TV host Alexa Chung.

Knightley, who received an Academy Award nomination for her 2005 film "Pride & Prejudice," has two films in the works this year. The sci-fi flick "Seeing a Friend for the End of the World" will be out in June followed by the period piece "Anna Karenina" in November. Knightley and Righton have yet attend a public event together, so perhaps they'll make their red-carpet debut at one of her upcoming premieres.
