Kutcher and Moore in happier times. (Jim Spellman/WireImage)Demi Moore is no longer Mrs. Kutcher in more ways than one. On Thursday — nearly six months after she and Ashton Kutcher announced their split — the actress finally changed her Twitter handle from @MrsKutcher to @JustDemi. "So hard finding a name that was fun somewhat playful and available," she wrote on the social network. "It could grow on me! … Thanks everyone for your help in finding my new name!"
Moore, 49, first acknowledged it was time to move on Twitter-wise in mid-April around the time she made her red carpet debut after completing a rehab stint following a seizure caused by drug use. Just a few days prior, she had also marked her return to the site after three months away. Moore simply posted a photo of herself lying on her bed, with the caption, "Testing…"
At the time, she asked her many followers to help her come up with the perfect name and said she would officially change it once she hit five million Twitter fans. Although she realized she needed a new moniker, Moore said she didn't understand all the fuss about it. "Changing my twitter name isn't a top priority for me … Does it really matter?" Not only fans offered their two cents to Moore, but celebrities, too. Piers Morgan even tweeted an idea to the actress. "How about MrsMorgan," joked the married CNN host, to which Moore retorted, "I think that one is taken!"
Moore may have committed to one Twitter handle, but her ex still can't commit to one woman. Ever since their split, Kutcher — who was accused of cheating on his wife — has been spotted out with a number of hookups, including Mila Kunis, Rihanna, and writer-director Lorene Scafaria
