Nickelback. Jason Alexander. Competitive baristas making foamed milk art. We never, ever thought these three things would combine, but then we saw Nickelback's new video for "Trying Not to Love You."
Set inside a coffee shop, the video sees "Seinfeld" alumni Jason Alexander playing Bud, a shy but gifted barista who falls head over espresso machine for Gennifer, a tall, thin blonde played by "Baywatch" babe Brooke Burns. As he prepares her latte, complete with leaf design, the video turns into Bud's "American Beauty"-esque fantasy where a bikini-clad Gennifer zooms through a galaxy of coffee cups and spoons and lies in a pile of coffee beans.
And it doesn't stop there - Alexander does double duty as Bud's rival barista, a soul-patched Casanova who drives a Vespa. After the two battle it out behind the counter, there's, obviously, a happy ending.
Alexander explained to his Twitter fans why he did the video.
"You can all hate on Nickelback but you give me any reason to hang out with a near naked Brooke Burns and I'm taking it. Damn, I'll pay YOU," he tweeted.

Now that we've seen the video in its entirety several times, we have nothing but good wishes for Gennifer and Bud. May their lives together be happy, healthy, and full of Vespa trips to Bud's latte art exhibits in New York City.
