Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s family fun in Puerto Rico

The family that plays together stays together! If happy couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner looked like they were thousands of miles away from the Hollywood hustle and bustle this week, it's because they were! The duo had tons of fun in the sun with their three kids on a beach in Puerto Rico, where Affleck is shooting the drama "Runner, Runner" opposite Justin Timberlake.

The couple was snapped splashing around in the Caribbean water with daughters Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3. A shirtless Ben showed off a hefty upper-arm tattoo while Jen — who gave birth to the couple's newest addition, son Samuel, five months ago — donned a black one piece and shades.

Later, the 40-year-old mom of three threw a striped sundress over her suit and carried baby Samuel for a walk along the water's edge. Hey, if the kid can't swim, he can at least get close to the ocean in his mama's arms!

And if the Garner-Affleck clan looks unusually normal to you (by Hollywood standards, anyway), you're not alone. The couple has actually made headlines over the years for seeming more average-American than showbiz-special, whether it's attending a local town parade with their kids, dressing down during public outings, or just the fact they've actually stayed together longer than many of today's celebrity couples.

"I'm privileged, because I have a lot of freedom. I want to use it to make as warm and normal a life as I can for our [children]," Garner told Parade magazine back in 2010. As for how she and her husband, 39, make time as a couple with a house full of kids: "You steal the time. You steal a date, you steal a kiss, you steal a whisper. You sit next to each other on the couch with computers on your laps. After the kids are asleep you ... well, you know."

Hopefully they'll at least be able to "steal" a little romantic time before they have to head back home!
