Paris Hilton traveled to Istanbul, Turkey to promote a new shoe line. - Splash NewsLeave it to Paris Hilton to travel halfway around the world and end up at ... the mall. The socialite and reality star arrived in Istanbul, Turkey, on Wednesday where she'll be launching her shoe line at the city's Istinye Park Mall on Thursday.

We're not sure if she's staying at a Hilton hotel or not, but Paris certainly sounds like she's happy with her temporary digs. "I love the hotel I'm staying at, it is decorated so immaculately. Just absolutely stunning!" the hotel heiress wrote on her blog on Wednesday.

"I love the people from Turkey," Paris wrote on her web site. It looks like they love her too! - Splash News  

And it wasn't just the hotel that impressed her. "Had interviews and business meetings. And now just got home from a lovely dinner event they put together for me," she continued. "Having such a great time, I love the people from Turkey. Everyone is so welcoming, kind, warm and sweet."

The trip might be for "work," but it sounds pretty fun and exotic to us! Next stop for Ms. Hilton -- India. But will it top Turkey?

The two -- who have been dating since early last year and have even gotten matching tattoos -- were spotted having a romantic lunch at L'Avenue. Avril, 26, needs her energy since she's got a concert tonight in the City of Lights and just left Fashion Week in NYC where she showed off her Abbey Dawn line.

Her fashion show made headlines thanks to Brody's 14-year-old half-sister Kylie Jenner, who modeled the collection -- that and the fact that the rest of the famous Kardashian girls were sitting front row. "The [Council of Fashion Designers of America] is extremely upset that Kylie walked in the Abbey Dawn show,"a source told the website.

Unfortunately, Britney's publicist later debunked the story, saying Jason was only there to talk to the jeweler, Pascal Mouawad, about a personal matter. Hmm, could the talk have had anything to do with Britney? We'll have to wait and see.    

Either way, this has turned out to be a pretty big year for Britney, 29. Femme Fatale is her sixth #1 album -- a feat only Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson have matched -- according to Billboard.
