Lady Gaga gets tattoo on her shaved head at Fame perfume launch

Well, now we've seen everything. On Thursday night, Lady Gaga celebrated the release of her Fame fragrance by getting a tattoo on her newly-shaved head — while lying inside a giant perfume bottle, which was placed in the middle of the party. As fans and friends looked on, the "Born This Way" singer was curled up as a gray-haired man in a white shirt and suspenders inked a Statue of Liberty-esque cherub with wings on the back of her head, which she shaved days earlier as an ode photographer Terry Richardson's mother who recently passed. But not before she downed tequila shots and smoked a bunch of cigarettes to numb the pain and calm her nerves.

Even Gaga's entrance into the party held at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC was bizarre. Dressed in a black lace Prabal Gurung gown and wearing a long brunette wig, she arrived sitting atop a vintage black convertible. Once the car stopped and the awaiting photographers approached to snap pictures, she just sat there emotionless. Once inside the soiree, Gaga, 26, ignored guests like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and Yoko Ono as she took part in her art project, which she titled "Sleeping With Gaga."

"I think she's one of the perfect people to come out with own fragrance," Hilton, who went to high school with Gaga at NYC's Convent of the Sacred Heart, told AFP from the red carpet. "People love her and they want to be like her. Wearing her fragrance, they'll feel a part of her more."

So what does Fame smell like? Exactly how you would expect a fragrance created by Lady Gaga to smell. In a radio interview last year, she described the black liquid (which changes color when it touches the skin) as "like an expensive hooker … [blood and semen] is in the perfume, but it doesn't smell like it. You just get sort of the after feeling of sex from the semen, and the blood is sort of primal. And the blood was taken from my own blood sample, so it's like a sense of having me on your skin."

Thankfully, the bottle describes a much more pleasant visual. The black-and-gold packaging spells out the ingredients as: Tears of belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea, with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot, and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops.
