Ke$ha’s provocative new lip tattoo

In the few years that Ke$ha has been on the music scene, she's attempted to prove — time and again — that she's a bad girl who doesn't care what other people think. Her latest message to the world? A tattoo on her inner lip that says "Suck it!"

The 25-year-old "Tik Tok" and "Sleazy" singer posted an Instagram photo on Twitter Wednesday featuring the body art. She wrote: "New tatt!!!" and mentioned Alchemy Tattoo in Silver Lake, California. The photo shows Ke$ha pulling down her lower lip to reveal the provocatively worded tattoo.

The "Suck it!" ink reportedly brings Ke$ha's total tattoo count to six, including two do-it-yourself tattoos that she applied with a safety pin and a pen. The Nashville native has also shared her tattoo craftiness with others, telling Paper magazine: "I saw this hot dude recently and I gave him a tattoo sitting in the lobby of the hotel. I was just like, 'Can I borrow a pen and a sewing kit?' I think I got an admirer out of that one." She also tattooed Wayne Coyne, the frontman for the Flaming Lips. "She does these little tattoos, like a peace sign or an animal or whatever," Coyne, 51, told MTV. "It's like if you were drawing on your body with a ballpoint pen. … The tattoo wore off after a few days. She put it on my foot. I don't have any other tattoos, so doing the foot was her idea. She was like, 'That way if you don't like it, nobody has to see it.'"

The glitter loving performer certainly knows how to get attention. Her stage antics are often talked about, especially when she outfitted one of her backup dancers in a 6-foot penis costume for a recent tour. In April, she made headlines after she tweeted a photo of herself urinating in public. She wrote, "Pee pee on the street. PoPo come n get me if u can find meeee. I blame traffic."

Ke$ha has long said she doesn't care about her detractors and encourages her fans to embrace their imperfections. "I'm just taking the piss out of it all," she told Glamour in March. "You have to have a sense of humor about life to get through it."

Coyne has said he appreciates that quality in Ke$ha, with whom he collaborated on his band's recent release Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends. "People sometimes, in the same way they do with their music and their art, they overthink it and contemplate the grandiose meaning of these stupid things," he said to MTV. "But really, the way to live your life is to just go for it and not worry about it. If you're embarrassed about it later, who cares? We've all done things that we're embarrassed about. I love the way that Ke$ha isn't afraid of trying anything. When she offered to give me a tattoo, I knew I'd be the one missing out if I didn't say, 'F--k it, sure, let's go for it.'"
