Von D rocks. (Jeff Steinberg/PacificCoastNews.com)
And her fans clearly agree. After Von D, 30, tweeted a link to the video on Monday, she received nothing but praise from her loyal followers. "Wow I had no idea you had such a beautiful voice! awesome cover!" wrote one, while another praised her "wicked" stripped-down arrangement of the song. "Wow. Thank you so much for all the kind and sweet comments on the video I just posted," Von D responded. "Was definitely shy to share it with everyone."
Von D has been working on music with Borland and Lohner for some time now and often updated her Twitter fans about the songs they've written. In fact, the week before the Evening With Women event, she flew to Sweden to record with goth-rock band The 69 Eyes. "I've been passionate about music all my life," Von D told E! News in October, shortly after she split from fiancé Jesse James. "I've been playing classical piano since I was 6. So I understand the form, but it will be fun to be able to translate a message. I think it's much like tattooing or the TV show or makeup, my clothing line, fashion. All those things, they're just different outlets to be able to be creative. So music, I think it's going to be one of those things."
What do you think of Von D's performance? Should she keep her day job?
