Parker suffered an eye injury during the fight. (KCSPresse/Splash News)Tony Parker, the NBA star who used to be married to Eva Longoria, was injured in the Manhattan nightclub brawl allegedly involving Chris Brown and Drake last week — and he's suing mad!
The San Antonio Spurs star, who suffered a corneal laceration to the left eye and other injuries, has filed a $20 million lawsuit against the New York City club W.i.P (Work in Progress) alleging that the club's security was negligent for allowing the fight to happen. "The defendants were reckless, careless, and negligent in permitting Drake's entourage and Brown's entourage to be in the club at the same time despite known tension between the two," states the lawsuit. It also notes that there is "bad blood between Drake and Chris Brown" because they "have both dated the same woman," Rihanna. The suit states that in addition to "general melee" and "bottle throwing," there were "possible gun shots." Yet the club continued to sell alcohol to patrons who were "visibly intoxicated," Parker claims.
When the bottles started flying, Parker, 30, was hit by shards of glass causing his eye injury. His career with the NBA could be impacted and he is also supposed to participate in the 2012 Summer Olympics with the French national basketball team. The lawsuit states that because of the eye injury, he has been "unable to attend to his usual duties and vocation."

It's possible that Brown or Drake could later be named as defendants in the lawsuit if the police investigation turns up evidence that they started the fight. Other clubgoers who witnessed the fracas reportedly include Mary J. Blige and Ne-Yo. W.i.P was shut down following the brawl and many of the victims have threatened legal action.
Last week, Parker spoke out about the incident as well as his injuries during a press conference in Paris. "I was with my friend Chris Brown and me and my friends took some punches," said the baller, who has been using a "therapeutic" contact lens to help heal his eye. "At first it was okay, but then it started getting worse and when the plane landed it was really hurting so I went straight to the ER. The cornea has been touched. I'll be missing the start of the French team, because I can't do anything for a week except keep the lens in and then take drops. But I was lucky. The injury won't prevent me from competing in the Olympics in any way."
Parker was married to "Desperate Housewives" star Longoria from 2007 to 2010. They split when she reportedly discovered inappropriate text messages between him and a teammate's wife (who denied an affair). Last month, Longoria opened up about Parker's infidelity, saying: "It was definitely not about me." She also shared the advice she'd give to her 14-year-old self: "Don't marry that basketball player!"
