With Labor Day looming and her work schedule set to explode when "The X Factor" premieres in early September, the pop princess is trying to hold on to the final weeks of the season. Along with a new bikini shot, Spears posted this message on her Facebook page Sunday: "Y'all ready for summer to end? I'm definitely not!"
There are nearly 6,000 comments on the photo — and the majority have nothing to do with the seasons changing. Instead her fans are gushing over her hot shot. In the picture, a sun-kissed Spears shows off her toned body in a white halter bikini as she poses in front of a stunning blue body of water.
Of course, this isn't the first time she's flaunted her bikini bod this summer, as many celebs seem to love strutting their stuff on Twitter! Last month, while on a family vacation with fiancé, Jason Trawick, and her two sons — Preston, 6, and Jayden, 5 — in Hawaii, Spears tweeted a full-length photo of herself in a blue-and-purple two-piece. And who can blame her. If you've got it, flaunt it.
Plus, Spears, who once famously boasted that her daily exercise regimen included 1,000 sit-ups, has been working hard to get camera ready for her gig on "The X Factor." In April, she was hired as a judge for the sophomore season of the newly revamped program, and soon after hit the road to film the audition segments for the show. During a stop in Providence, Rhode Island, in June, she wowed the crowd in a red, form-fitting Herve Leger by Max Azria mini.
But bikini pix aren't the only thing Spears has been busy sharing on her social media sites. Last week, she had a cute exchange with the Mars rover Curiosity. It started when Spears playfully asked if the planet looks as good as it did in 2000, linking to her "…Oops!…I Did It Again" video. In the video, which is set on the red planet, Spears has a romance with an astronaut. Someone at NASA, which landed Curiosity on Mars on August 5, tweeted a charming reply to Spears, writing, "Hey Brit Brit. Mars is still looking good. Maybe someday an astronaut will bring me a gift, too. Drill bits crossed ;)"
No word yet as to whether or not the rover has any thoughts about Spears' bikini snapshot…
