But now, 19 years later, the model-actress — who was actually discovered by Prince — is finally back with a new song, the dance-electronic Fergie-esque track "I Like It Loud," which was officially released on iTunes Tuesday. Since 1993, Electra has kept herself pretty busy with modeling and acting, but the entire time, "I've had this passion to get back into music," she tells omg!. "I feel very lucky because I've been able to do so many other things, and I love that. I need a variety in my life and my career. It's never boring. It's been challenging at times, but it's also been such an amazing ride. Deep down inside, throughout everything, I just still have this passion."

The sexy star — who poses completely naked, save for a cropped leather jacket and strategically-placed hands on one of GQ's Men of the Year covers (the other two feature Channing Tatum and Ben Affleck) — gives a little insight into her brand new album, Unapologetic, and why her songs are not your grandmother's kind of music.

The singer debuted the nearly-5-minute video on Thursday, and in it, she broods throughout a myriad of backdrops. "Diamonds" begins with Rihanna rolling a joint filled with the gems, and then smoking before a quick visual of her hand being ripped from a tattooed man's hand ... obviously a nod to Chris Brown. She's then shown running in the darkness from a bright light before ending up in the wild with two horses (one is lame and lying on the ground until the other helps it up and they run off together). At the end of the video, Rihanna wanders through an apocalyptical scene with dirt on her face as a man on fire walks calmly through the melee.

For some, however, the superstorm took much more. It also claimed 109 lives nationwide.

This week, Cyndi Lauper revealed her uncle was one of those who died. "I lost my Uncle George in the hurricane," Lauper said on Monday at Lenox Hill Hospital's Autumn Ball in Manhattan, according to the New York Post.

Her uncle, 90-year-old George Stathis, was found dead inside his home in Rockaway, Queens, a waterfront area that was hit especially hard by Sandy, five days after the storm.

The five original members of '90s boy band the Backstreet Boys have released their first single since confirming that Kevin Richardson has rejoined the group. (Backstreet's four other members — Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, and A.J. McLean — teamed with another retro boy band, New Kids On the Block, to form the totally awesome supergroup NKOTBSB in 2010.) Backstreet's working on a full-length album for early next year, but in the meantime the guys have already released a holiday-themed track called "It's Christmas Time Again," which they performed at Disneyland on Monday while filming a segment for the park's annual Christmas Day parade special.

Spears' rep confirmed that she's "having discussions" with It Books, an imprint of Harper Collins, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The pop star's tome would be similar to Conrad's best-selling L.A. Candy trilogy, which is about a teen who moves to L.A. and finds herself starring in a reality series, or Snooki's A Shore Thing, the story of two gals who spend the summer partying at the Jersey Shore. Does any of that sound familiar?

Chris Brown and attorney Mark Geragos. (WireImage)Chris Brown is always opening his mouth and getting himself in trouble, and during a court appearance on Thursday, he almost did it once again. The "Don't Wake Me Up" singer was before a judge in Los Angeles to check in on his progress with his probation (for beating Rihanna in 2009) when his attorney Mark Geragos was asked a question regarding his client's upcoming tour schedule — and Brown piped up. "Hello," he said, raising his hand. "Don't talk!" shot back Geragos. "I don't dance, you don't talk." Luckily, the hot-tempered Brown took the jab well and laughed.

Ashlee Simpson. (Jesse Grant /WireImage)Trick or treat? On Wednesday, Ashlee Simpson announced that she will be releasing a new song, her first in four years, on November 21. "Happy Halloween! As promised, here's a little tease of what's to come!" she tweeted, along with a link to her website where a 50-second black-and-white video of the track, which may be called "Bat for a Heart" (her hashtag for the tweet), is playing. In the clip, the 28-year-old sings, "I'm going to bang bang f--k you up/twist you out inside of my head," as she writhes around on the ground and against a wall in heavy eye makeup. She even pulls out some impressive ballet moves!

Not long after Simpson's announcement, her big sister Jessica tweeted her support. "You have always been so much cooler than me," she wrote, adding a smiley face emoticon.
