Celeb moms-to-be may be glowing on the red carpet, but they are not exempt from the crazy and sometimes embarrassing surprises pregnancy holds. On this episode of "Spotlight to Nightlight," Nancy O'Dell -- author of the new pregnancy handbook "Full of Life" -- reveals the five tips every expectant mother should know and how she dealt with her own pregnancy while reporting on everyone else's in Hollywood.

    Ali's Take
There's no question that pregnancy is a blessing. You excitedly dream about what kind of mom you'll be and you do your best to plan. But no matter how "prepared" you are, when you see that plus sign on the pregnancy test, you are suddenly consumed with every emotion possible -- joy, excitement, fear, confusion. Am I really ready for this?!

Let me start by saying that I am an info junkie. I think I read every pregnancy book available, but I still had many questions. There were so many things happening to me and I had no idea if I needed to call the doctor (on speed dial, of course!) or just the pizza delivery guy. I soon found out that even my closest friends and family members forgot to tell me about some important stuff that kept me up at night. (When I asked my mom about her own experience she said she couldn't remember!) I was worried about everything: itchy skin, swollen feet, strange aversions (what happened to my love of chicken?), dizziness, and late-night leg cramps (no one ever tells you how painful those are until you've already had one!). Not to mention pressing questions like is my belly having hiccups? Can I use this face cream? Slowly but surely, I got the answers I needed to rest easy and really enjoy my pregnancy. Now I wish I had kept a journal of it all like Nancy (always the reporter) did to pass along to newly pregnant pals. There's so much information and insight to share as we all go through some crazy, embarrassing and wonderful times in that 9 (make that 10 -- why didn't someone tell me that?!) months of waiting for the baby to arrive.

There's no such thing as a textbook pregnancy. Believe me, I read the whole textbook! The best you can do is listen to your doctor, listen to your body, and try to relax. Before you know it, you'll be a pro at motherhood and will be easing the fears of your pregnant girlfriends.

Just what the world needed - another pregnancy book. This woman is an idiot who just wants attention. If you're too stupid to be pregnant - you definitely shouldn't be taking care of a baby.
