Sarah Jessica Parker’s low-key day at the park with her twin daughters

After glamming it up at various New York Fashion Week events, Sarah Jessica Parker spent a cool, calm, and casual morning with her 3-year-old twin daughters — Tabitha and Loretta — on Friday.

The actress appeared to have her hands full as she pushed a stroller through Manhattan's West Village on the way to a local park. While Tabitha stood on the rear platform of the kiddie-mobile — you can see her from the nose up! — Loretta got to kick back in her feathered tiara while appearing to daydream about important preschooler things.

At the park, Loretta — wearing a "berry" cute dress — showed a lot of interest in an action-packed basketball game nearby. Instead of playing with the other kids (or her sister!), she seemed transfixed as she stared through the chain-link fence at the men driving and dunking. SJP happily accommodated her basketball enthusiast daughter, even helping her to climb the fence to get a better view of the action.

While discussing her twins with Parade last year, the 47-year-old actress said, "They're talking. They're running. They need me. Loretta is deeply inquisitive: 'Do you see that, do you hear that, Mama?' She constantly checks that we are connecting with her. Her sister is the family princess: 'Tabitha does not give; she receives.'"

Parker, who sported skinny pants, animal-print flats, and a loose purple top, seemed to enjoy the casual day with her girls. And who can blame her? Her schedule has been packed with fashion-related activities.

On Wednesday, Parker attended FIT's Award for Artistry of Fashion Presentation at Lincoln Center. Wearing a red-and-white dress that she paired with a suit jacket, she sat next to the luncheon's honoree Oscar de la Renta. Then Thursday, Parker stepped out for Fashion's Night Out. Wearing a Prabal Garung dress in various shades of blue (the hot color this fall), she visited the Fred Leighton boutique, where there was no shortage of baubles to try on.

It's expected that Parker will be sitting front row at many of the New York Fashion Week shows this weekend and into next week ... though we're sure she'll balance out her high-fashion events with her low-key days with the kids.
