Reese Witherspoon on Losing Baby Weight: ‘I’m Slowly Crawling Back’

Since giving birth to son Tennessee James on September 27, Reese Witherspoon has been looking incredible, but she says her post-pregnancy weight loss has been more of a footrace. Showing off her slim figure in a tight black dress at the March of Dimes Babies event over the weekend, the actress admitted that despite appearances, it's not exactly easy getting that pre-baby bod back. "I don't know if I'm bouncing back, I'm slowly crawling back," she told "Extra" in an interview that is set to air on Monday night. "You know, all of your joints feel wobbly and your head is sort of confused."

Witherspoon, who is also mom to 12-year-old Ava and 8-year-old Deacon with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, even joked that she's been so flighty the last few weeks that she somehow forgot what a refrigerator was called. A few days earlier, she had asked someone, "What do you call that thing that keeps the food cold?" But she went on to say, "You just have to be gentle and patient with yourself and just sort of you know … slowly get back to your health."

Until she does, she's just enjoying every moment she has with her little bundle of joy. Baby Tennessee is "wonderful, healthy, happy, so great," Witherspoon, 36, told "Extra." Later at the event, when she was presented with the Grace Kelly Award (which recognizes role-model celebrity parents), the actress continued to gush about her newborn son with husband Jim Toth. "We are parents that know the joy of having a beautiful, brilliant, joyful, perfect baby. That somehow heaven has opened up and delivered us an angel [who] looks adorable in every angle of an iPhone photo. And, in my case, looks gorgeous printed on a bag or a pillow or an iPhone cover — anything you can get on TinyPrints!"
