Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell Get Busy

On an episode of MTV's "Cribs" a few years back, he seemed to be living the ultimate bachelor lifestyle. When you're a young, hot dude in Hollywood, why would you ever settle down? Well, you meet Rebecca Romijn.

The couple recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary on July 14, but Jerry has wanted to start a family with Rebecca from the get-go. "When you're married to Rebecca, you should try to have as many children as possible," joked the actor during a November 2007 interview with USA Today. "And I want to do that before she figures out that she could do a lot better than me!"

Now it looks like O'Connell's wish may come true sooner rather than later. "We're trying to get pregnant," he revealed to People magazine at the Much Love Animal Rescue's 2nd annual Bow Wow WOW event, held at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles. "It would be amazing if it happened. I hope it does."

When the couple isn't working on the task at hand -- O'Connell notes that trying to get pregnant is "a lot of fun" -- they're busy practicing their parenting skills on their dogs Taco and Better. "Pets are training for kids," laughs the former "Crossing Jordan" star.
