Snooki and Jionni LaValle earlier this month (twitter.com/snooki)Snooki didn't get a lick of sleep last night — and it had nothing to do with an all-night party at the "Jersey Shore" house. The 24-year-old is settling into motherhood after the arrival of Lorenzo "Enzo" Dominic LaValle on August 26, which meant a sleepless first night.
"Hardly any sleep but SO worth it," Snooki (real name: Nicole Polizzi) tweeted early Monday morning.
It's been an eventful 24 hours for Enzo, who was born at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, in Livingston, New Jersey, on Sunday. The baby — who weighed in at 6 pounds, 5 ounces — has already met Snooki's best bud and "Snooki and JWoww" co-star, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, who later tweeted that the little guy is "the cutest baby I ever seen." He also received a present from Anderson Cooper. "THANK U so much. Just got ur gift! We love you Mr. Anderstand," Snooki later wrote, thanking the newsman.
A steady stream of well wishes has also been flowing in for the new mom and her fiancé, Jionni LaValle, from her "Jersey Shore" cast mates. Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio tweeted, "Congrats @snooki And @JLaValle!!!! I'm Officially Uncle Pauly!!! #MyMeatballHadAMeatball." Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino wrote, "Congrats to Nicole an Gianni in their new baby boy! All the best to the new family!" And Deena Nicole Cortese posted, "Congratulations meatball ! @snooki and @JLaValle love you both! <3 I can't wait to see him!!!"
Just 24 hours since she gave birth and Snooki is already happily getting used to not being pregnant. "I'm finally able to eat eggs again!" she wrote early Monday morning. "While I was pregnant I couldn't even smell them! Now I'm killing it with egg whites!!! #YUM."
Snooki announced the arrival of Enzo on Sunday, tweeting, "I am SO IN LOVE with my son! I had my little man last night, healthy at 6lbs! HE'S MY WORLD!" Meanwhile proud papa Jionni posted, "I'll never forget old high school memories or the vacations I been on with my boys, I will also never forget 8/26/12 the day my son was born!"
