    Billy Ray supports Miley in whatever she does. WireImage.com Billy Ray Cyrus has been out and about promoting "Nashville Star," but he can never seem to avoid answering questions about his famous 15-year-old daughter Miley.

    During a "Today" show interview on Tuesday, the conversation turned to Miley once again when Billy Ray was asked about the provocative photo shoot she did for Vanity Fair magazine's June issue. The country star insisted that he was not present when famed photographer Annie Leibovitz snapped the controversial pic of a topless Miley wrapped in a sheet.

    "(Miley's) publicist was there, and everyone seemed in control," he said. "I didn't know they (were) gonna strip her down and wrap her with a blanket. So I was surprised when I saw it, you know, but stuff happens. That's life."

    Although I must admit that the Vanity Fair pic of Billy Ray holding Miley in his arms kind of creeped me out, he actually seems like a pretty good dad. Perhaps somebody else, like Miley's mom, should have been at the photo shoot besides the publicist.

    the picture may have been bad for her as a role model but she is covered up....and people dont need to judge her so much i mean everybody makes mistakes right??? i grew up listening to her dad and i love him to death and i dont think he did anything wrong he is a good dad...like he said if he could have stayed he would, but he had to work....where was her mom???
