First Lady Michelle Obama, Jessica Alba, and a slew of other celebs joined nearly 400 kids at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. to celebrate the National Education Association's 14th annual Read Across America campaign on Wednesday.
The event, which is held on Dr. Seuss' birthday every year -- he would have turned 107 in 2011! -- aims to encourage kids of all ages to get excited about reading, and the first lady kicked off the proceedings in D.C. by reading Seuss' classic, Green Eggs and Ham.

"Shear Genius" host Camila Alves, who has two children with Matthew McConaughey, revealed that at the Alves/McConaughey pad, "Everybody is into reading," and added that her 2-year-old son Levi is into "anything related with trucks or airplanes."
Jessica Alba, who brought her adorable 2-year-old daughter Honor to the event, told reporters that she was passionate about supporting literacy programs, saying, "I read to my daughter. We love books, she loves Dr. Seuss. Her favorite Dr. Seuss book is Horton Hatches the Egg, so I've read it about 2,000 times."
The "Little Fockers" star also shared that she's a big fan of the campaign's slogan -- Grab Your Hat and Read With the Cat! "I love that the slogan is to make reading fun and not make it feel like this laborious thing, that it's actually something you enjoy and can enhance your life," Alba noted. "I think having that mentality around reading is great."
