Katie Holmes and her daughter Suri load up on goodies for children in need at the FAO Schwarz store in NYC. - Jackson Lee/Splash NewsKatie Holmes and her daughter hit up famed toy store FAO Schwarz in NYC yesterday, but it wasn't to buy goodies for little Suri. According to People, the Broadway star and her tot waited 'til FAO Schwarz closed before they slipped in to purchase toys for Stockings With Care, a not-for-profit organization that makes sure children in need have some gifts to open when they wake up Christmas morning, too.

It's great to see a celeb and their child getting into the holiday spirit this way. Hopefully, Suri and her mom can carry on this tradition for years to come!

"I never thought that I would get pregnant and give birth to a child," says Nicole Kidman. - Snapper Media/Splash NewsNicole Kidman suffered a miscarriage when she was still married to her ex Tom Cruise. That's why she was so surprised when she conceived a baby with hubby Keith Urban at the age of 41. "I never thought that I would get pregnant and give birth to a child," revealed the actress in an interview with The Australian Women's Weekly.

The Oscar winner believes the miracle happened while she was filming Baz Luhrmann's "Australia" in Kununurra, a small town in the Australian Outback.

"Seven babies were conceived out of this film and only one was a boy," shared Nicole, who gave birth to daughter Sunday Rose in July. "There is something up there in the Kununurra water because we all went swimming in the waterfalls, so we can call it the fertility waters now."

The Aussie also opened up about why she barely showed during her pregnancy. "I'm so lucky I'm so tall, so I carried small," explained 5' 10 1/2" tall star. "I have to say, I had a birth that I was blessed with, a labor that was very good,

Ryder reportedly rode to the restaurant in the "boys' cab"with Lance and his 8-year-old son Luke, while Lance's 6-year-old twin daughtersIsabelle and Grace hopped into a taxi with Kate. Sounds like a modern-day "BradyBunch" … but will the good times last? Both Kate and Lance kind of havereputations for being serial daters, but since their children seem to be very involvedmaybe this is the real deal.

    • Nicole and Keith’s Sunday Rose

It's a girl for Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban! - Charley Gallay/GettyImages.comCongrats to Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, who welcomed a healthy baby girl into the world this morning! Of course, everyone in my office was waiting with baited breath to find out what they named their new daughter. Would Nicole and Keith pick something traditional, or off the wall?

Fortunately, the celebrity couple didn't get too wacky. Keith revealed on his website that they named their little girl Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, which received a mixed response from my co-workers. My first thought was that it kind of reminded me of Tuesday Morning, the discount gift and home accessory chain! While Nicole and Keith definitely get points for originality, Sunday is a little too original for my boring classic taste.

    • Rebecca Romijn was out and about in Beverly Hills yesterday. As most of you probably know, the "Ugly Betty" star and her hubby Jerry O'Connell are expecting twin girls in January. While the couple is ecstatic, the father-to-be found himself in hot water a few days ago when he appeared on Conan O'Brien's late night show and called Rebecca "huge." Ouch. Thankfully, he did damage control immediately.

"I regret calling my wife 'huge' on Conan O'Brien," Jerry told People magazine. "I meant to say that there are specific areas of my wife that are larger than normal and growing every day. All other portions of my wife are quite petite. I apologize to her and will be coming home with flowers." Aww.

I also heard the dreamy actor on the Adam Carolla radio show this week, where he revealed that Rebecca, who is a very big Dolly Parton fan, is planning on naming one of their twin girls Dolly. O'Connell apparently gets to name the other one.

    • Ricki Lake Defends Birthing Documentary

Ricki Lake supports at-home child birth. - Dimitrios Kambouris/WireImage.comRicki Lake was recently criticized by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American Medical Association (AMA) for bringing attention to at-home child birth with her film, "The Business of Being Born." In the documentary, the former talk show host is seen giving birth naturally to her now 7-year-old son Owen in her Manhattan apartment.

While Ricki made the movie to show women that there is a safe alternative to hospital birth, the physician groups disagree. The ACOG released a statement saying that "the safest setting for labor, delivery, and the immediate post-partum period is in the hospital" - not the home.

"I am pro-choices and that's really what it's about," explains Ricki, who delivered her oldest son Milo (11) in the hospital without any problems. "My movie isn't against the hospitals and doctors and technology. It's wanting to incorporate midwives into the system a little bit more and have better outcomes and better birth experiences."
