Hannigan on Independence Day (Splash News)Alyson Hannigan has been in nesting mode since the birth of her second daughter, Keeva, in May. But there was a big celebration in her neighborhood for Independence Day, so it was a family day out for the actress and her brood.
The "How I Met Your Mother" star was decked out in stars and stripes for a July 4th block party near her Brentwood, California, home. It wasn't about what the 38-year-old was wearing though — it was about what she was pushing, which was a pink-and-black stroller with her infant daughter Keeva inside. At one point during the festivities, Hannigan took the 6-week-old baby out of the stroller and strapped her into a black-and-white carrier.
The mom, who was accompanied by her husband, Alexis Denisof, also made time for elder daughter Satyana, who was dressed in red and blue for occasion, including patriotic hairclips. Funny, the 3-year-old toddler's footwear selection, heart socks, looked like they could have been in honor of another holiday: Valentine's Day.

Hannigan's big day out with Keeva was the first time the child has been seen in public. However, the "American Pie" star did post a photo of the baby's tiny little hand on Twitter when she first announced her birth.
As far as getting back to her pre-baby weight, Hannigan has said she's not competing with other Hollywood moms out there who push themselves to get back to their bikini bodies weeks after they give birth.
"I think by Hollywood standards I'm supposed to be in bikini shape now that my baby is 4 weeks old," Hannigan tweeted a month after Keeva's arrival. "My workout goal: Food drops in lap, not on belly." She also noted: "I still haven't lost all the weight from my first daughter. Oh, well."
Oh well, indeed. From the looks on these happy faces, life is perfect.
