Tori Spelling didn't waste any time selling the first photos of her baby girl to OK! magazine. The reality star gave birth on June 9 and already little Stella Doreen is a cover girl. Upon being released from the hospital, Tori and her newborn must have immediately been whisked off to a photo shoot!
In her OK! interview, Tori, who also has a one-year-old son named Liam, reveals that her second pregnancy was quite unexpected since she had been using birth control. "She's a miracle," says the actress. "I was on one pill and wasn't feeling well, so I went off of it. Two days later the doctor put me on another, and on that one day we conceived. Ricki Lake was recently criticized by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American Medical Association (AMA) for bringing attention to at-home child birth with her film, "The Business of Being Born." In the documentary, the former talk show host is seen giving birth naturally to her now 7-year-old son Owen in her Manhattan apartment.
While Ricki made the movie to show women that there is a safe alternative to hospital birth, the physician groups disagree. The ACOG released a statement saying that "the safest setting for labor, delivery, and the immediate post-partum period is in the hospital" - not the home. more »
