As the 20-year-old reveals in the new issue of Teen Vogue, she's itching to expand her resume beyond movies, shows, and albums aimed at kids. "It's frustrating whenever I want the roles that no one's even thinking about me for, and being like, 'No,' with all these other ones," she tells the magazine. "Being part of the Disney Channel was such a blessing, and I'm super happy with what ['Wizards of Waverly Place'] accomplished, but acting is something I would like to take on more seriously." Gomez's credits include projects like 2010's family-friendly "Ramona and Beezus," and guest roles on shows such as Miley Cyrus' "Hannah Montana," beginning with work on the kiddie program "Barney & Friends" when she was 7. However, Gomez admits that she still has a lot to do in Hollywood. "I don't necessarily feel accomplished. I want to create a whole different persona when it comes to acting."

The first step in achieving that new persona is her role alongside James Franco, fellow former Disney star Vanessa Hudgens, and "Pretty Little Liars'" Ashley Benson in the upcoming movie "Spring Breakers," which is directed by the man behind the gritty 1995 film "Kids." Gomez plays one of four college co-eds who rob a restaurant to pay for a trip, then get bailed out of jail by a drug dealer who expects the women to work off their debt. She's also currently filming an action movie called "The Getaway" with Ethan Hawke and Jon Voight — a much different project than the PG-rated comedy "Monte Carlo" she did with "Gossip Girl's" Leighton Meester and "Glee's" Cory Monteith in 2011. "'Monte Carlo' was a good step for me at the time," she says. "But I would never want to do something like that again."

But Gomez isn't abandoning her music career. The "Love You Like a Love Song" singer notes that she's looking forward to working on her fourth album soon. "Who I would die to work with, but I don't think he ever would — I don't even think he's doing music anymore — is Justin Timberlake," she shares. "Just cause I love his music sooo much." Oddly enough, Gomez's BF Bieber's new album, Believe has been said to sound like JT's solo work. No wonder she's a fan of the Biebs!

When the topic turns to Gomez's famous main squeeze, she's less open. "It's really fun," she tells the magazine about her relationship with Bieber. "I'm really lucky." However, she adds that fans shouldn't expect wedding bells any time soon — she's focused on her career for now. "I'm 20. I don't take anything in my personal life too seriously," Gomez explains. "Marriage and all that other stuff I think will happen once I feel accomplished in every other aspect of my life."
