Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen get ready to promote their new teen clothing line, Olsenboye, in New York City.
Victoria Will/Splash News
Although I don't find Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to be particularly stylish -- most of the time they're dressed like frumpy old women -- the rest of the world considers the 23-year-old twins to be fashionistas. But hey, what do I know?
At any rate, the duo is gearing up to launch their fourth clothing collection. This time around, it's a junior line for JCPenney called Olsenboye (the Olsen's Norwegian family name), which will be inspired by teens from around the world.
JCPenney's executive vice president, Liz Sweney, describes Olsenboye as being "very fun, fashion driven, trendy, and wholesome at the same time."
It's also fairly affordable. Pieces will range in price from $20 to $50.
And while Olsenboye is inspired by the petite sisters, fortunately, you don't have to be a size 0 to wear it. The clothing will be available in sizes from 0 to 15. "It's really important that Olsenboye serves lots of girls," Sweney says. "It's not just about girls size zero or one."
To celebrate their new line, which will be available for a limited time at select JCPenney stores and jcp.com starting November 6 with a full launch set for spring 2010, Mary-Kate and Ashley parked their Olsenboye Brand Treat Truck in NYC's Union Square the other day, where they sold select merchandise, handed out cupcakes, and signed autographs for their fans.
What do you think of Olsenboye?
