Kristen Stewart (Gregg DeGuire/WireImage)Kristen Stewart may not seem like the mothering type, but the 22-year-old was "instantly protective" of Mackenzie Foy, 11, the actress who plays her daughter Renesmee in the final two "Twilight" films. While promoting "Breaking Dawn — Part 2" in Beverly Hills on Thursday, Stewart revealed that was true both on and off screen. "Absolutely. I mean, even [being pregnant with] her in the first 'Breaking Dawn,' having the connection before she's even born," she told Access Hollywood. "With Mackenzie, I started acting when I was really close to her age, and so I was so curious constantly," shared Stewart, whose credits date back to 2001. "[I was] like, 'What are you thinking about dude? Hey, are you hungry? Are you tired?' She was always just like, 'No, I'm fine. I'm good.' She's so cool."
KStew, who recently reconciled with her "Twilight" co-star Robert Pattinson, also noted that, in a way, she'll be relieved once the final film hits theaters November 16. "I'm so happy that the story's told, you have no idea," she said. "The fact that this thing is out and it's not weighing on us anymore, super excited about that. But I don't want it to sound like I'm excited just to be done with the experience." Stewart has often noted she's grateful for the success of the five "Twilight" films, and when the final scene wrapped she even took home some souvenirs. She kept a moon ring that Bella was given by her late mother, and added that it "fully and completely reminds me of Catherine Hardwicke," the director of the first movie. Of course, Stewart's other parting gift was the engagement ring that Edward gave Bella. The baubles are "really, really extremely important to me. I love those things," she said.

While Stewart sounded more sentimental about the end of "Twilight," her paramour Pattinson noted that there are a few things he won't miss. "A franchise is a Burger King or a Subway, it's not a movie," he said. "As an actor in it, you really, really feel like you have no control … You get trapped."
However, Stephenie Meyer, the author of the books behind "Twilight," caused fans everywhere to gasp when she hinted that there could be stories left to tell about supporting characters, such as Renesmee or Taylor Lautner's character Jacob. "I had planned out where it would go for a couple more books, so I know exactly what would happen," Meyer explained. "There are other characters that I think would have a lot of voice in those coming stories.... Maybe someday I'll write it out, just for myself. We'll see. I'm not into permanents so I wouldn't say no, absolutely. I'm not going to do it today. I don't know how I'm going to feel in five years." Did you hear that, Twi-hards?!
