    Demi Lovato Rocks a Nose Ring

The former Disney darling has managed the rocky transition from TV teen to pop star. Now the 19-year-old is hitting the road on her own, with 10 concerts scheduled from Detroit to New Orleans to Chicago beginning November 16 and ending December 3.

    While she's got plenty of work ahead of her, for now the "Skyscraper" singer is indulging in a little downtime in Los Angeles. Demi was even spotted leaving Mexican restaurant Casa Vega on Monday night sporting a funky new look, including a nose ring! Demi's come to realize, as she recently explained on her Seventeen blog, that in order to stay sane, she needs to strike a balance between her personal and professional lives.

    "I love what I do so much that sometimes it's tough to tell the difference!" Demi revealed. "But to make sure I find time for myself, I think about my family and friends and fans who support me no matter what -- it's that unwavering love that helps me stay calm and focused."

    Demi seems to be making it work. The teen queen looks healthier than ever, and her album is a hit. She even has the honor of outselling her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas' debut solo effort ... so far. On the days they were released -- her Unbroken on September 20 and his Fast Life on October 11 -- she topped the digital sales chart for most of the day, while Joe has been hanging out at around #9, according to Hollywood Life.

    Not that Demi's gloating. She even tweeted her support for Joe on Monday. "Fast life tonight at midnight! Woo!!" she wrote.

      Getting a nose ring, and trying different looks isn't being a wannabe it's called GROWING UP. Seriously, you can't expect her to be the same girl she was five years ago. She's nineteen now. And it's a #$%$ nose ring, I have one so does a million other people. She's anything BUT a wannabe. She has REAL talent and a REAL voice, something that's unfortunately rare to find now a days.
