Demi Lovato Reveals Her True Feelings About Miley, Selena

Lately, Demi Lovato's been very open about her struggles of the past year that sent her to rehab for cutting, an eating disorder, and other issues -- so much so that, quite frankly, there's not much about it that she hasn't revealed by now. But in the latest issue of Seventeen, the "Skyscraper" singer explains something different: the practical changes she's made for her new, healthier lifestyle, such as whether she's still friends with her former BFFs from the Disney Channel, how she spends weekend nights now that she's drug and alcohol free, and more.

First, Demi reiterates to the magazine that she was in bad shape. "I'm not going to lie," the former "Sonny With a Chance" starlet says. "I was self-medicating. I was doing things like drinking and using [drugs], like a lot of teens do to numb their pain."

Demi Lovato on The Pressure To Be Perfect

Now that she's clean, the 19-year-old confesses that she has a more realistic, positive view of herself these days, and that includes her body. The "Camp Rock" cutie finally realizes that she doesn't need to be scary-skinny like some other celebs. "I'm not supposed to be stick thin -- my body's not made to be that way," Demi explains. "I feel like I have a good butt. I don't have boobs, but I got a butt!"

Along with her new attitude, Demi also has a new way of spending her weekends. "Now on Friday nights, if I want to go hang out with friends, I go hang out with friends," she notes. "If I want to stay in and be in the hot tub and have people over to watch movies, I do that. I have more fun doing that than I did making the stupid decisions that I did back in the day."

Speaking of friends, Demi says something that's remained the same during her personal transition is the way she feels about two other teen queens, Miley Cyrus of "Hannah Montana" and Selena Gomez of "Wizards of Waverly Place." "There are two people that no matter how many times we fight, we will always be in each other's lives. [Miley Cyrus and I] are strong-headed. Selena [Gomez] and I, we never fight."
