The British boy banders have been known to joke around during interviews, but that wasn't this case when Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson sat down to chat with Seventeen magazine — well, for the most part. They opened up about girls, specifically a certain "X Factor" judge who's been known for her relationship with another boy band, the Jonas Brothers; the traits they've been labeled with as part of the band, such as "the bad boy"; and the one moment that two of the guys would rather forget!

Flirty Harry (John Wright/Seventeen)Harry, 18, on being seen as "the girl-crazy one": "I wouldn't say girl-crazy, because that makes me sound like a bit of a womanizer. That isn't really me. But I am quite flirty — maybe too flirty. I'm an 18-year-old boy, and I like to have fun!"
Zayn, 19, on his reputation as the band's "bad boy" (at least by 1D standards!): "I like to use the term misunderstood. But I am a bit of a bad boy. I have tattoos and I mess around. That's part of my image, so it's cool."

Niall, 19, on older woman Demi Lovato, who's 20 and has shot down reports that she's his girlfriend: "The nice thing about Demi is, once you know her, she's really, really beautiful. We became good friends. It's so crazy that she can be so honest about everything she's gone through. She has a fantastic attitude. If I ever needed anything or needed to talk to anybody, I think Demi would be the person to talk to."

Liam, 19, on his ex-girlfriend Danielle Peazer, 24, that he split with recently: "I am really devastated by the breakup with Danielle. We had an amazing time together, but unfortunately sometimes things don't go as you planned." The couple met on the set of "The X Factor" in the U.K., the same show where the band formed, when she was a dancer and he was a contestant in 2010.
Embarrassed Louis (John Wright/Seventeen)Louis, 20, on his most embarrassing moment since the band hit it big: "One time Harry and I were skiing together when a girl and a guy came up with a camera. We assumed they were going to ask us for a photo, so we stood there with our arms around each other, posing. They said, 'No, we want you to take a photo of us!' It was embarrassing!"
