TeshFor all the perks that come with being one of the starlets in the "Twilight" movie franchise, Ashley Greene admits that there are drawbacks. The 25-year-old, who's reportedly dated Joe Jonas, Kings of Leon's Jared Followill, and singer Reeve Carney, among others, says it can often make connecting with other people tricky. "I'm always here and there — everyone in my industry is — and that's why a lot of relationships are fleeting," she explains in a new interview with Marie Claire magazine. "I've gotten very good at detaching whenever I have to go away for three months, which I realize is hard on friends and kind of selfish," she says. "You go on a couple of dates, and then someone ships off to do a movie. It's not like you're going to fly out and see them, because it's not serious enough for that."

As a matter of fact, the vampire movies have affected Greene's life in ways both big and small, from the way people perceive her to her travel preferences. "It was a hard adjustment to go from zero to 100 in a day," she admits. "But it was also hard to talk to [friends], because you don't want to be a jerk. After the movie came out, some people said, 'You changed.' And I said, 'I haven't changed, dude. Your opinion of me has changed because I'm working on this film.' Trust me, my parents would let me know. I'm just happy my mom told me to keep a diary. I wrote everything down. The reality is that something like this will probably never happen again."

While she's grounded about most things, she must admit there is one perk that she'll really miss after the final movie comes out November 16. "When this is all over, flying internationally is going to be very hard for me," she notes. "It is just not worth it to buy a first-class ticket, because of the cost." The poor, poor thing!

But though she's gotten a taste of the good life, the actress insists that penny-pinching has been instilled in her. "I'm lucky because my dad taught me how to be frugal and save," she says. "And that's important because I want to know that I don't have to take an acting job for two or three years if I don't want to and that I'll still be able to make my house and car payments and buy food for my dogs."
The way that things are going, that shouldn't be a problem!
