Should Chris Brown be up for a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award? - Kevin Mazur/WireImage.comDespite the fact that he is facing felony charges for allegedly attacking his girlfriend Rihanna, Chris Brown is still in the running to win two Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on March 28. And parents aren't happy about it. A group called TwitterMoms created an online petition protesting the 19-year-old's nominations for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song ("Kiss Kiss"). Although there are 3,771 signatures (and counting) requesting that Nickelodeon remove Brown from the Kids' Choice ballot, the cable network says it is standing by the artist. But is this decision sending a bad message to kids?

"Like all our KCA nominees, Chris Brown was nominated by kids several months ago based on his work as a performer," explains a Nickelodeon rep. "And the kids who vote will ultimately decide who wins the category."

Hmmm ... so Viacom is passing the buck and letting kids make the judgment call for them? Even though Chris' PR peeps got on the singer's MySpace blog -- "Hey fans, Vote for Chris!"

Since the show's first season, fans have been clamoring for a "Gossip Girl" soundtrack and now they'll finally have one!

OMFGG - Original Music Featured on Gossip Girl No. 1 is bound to become the Best. Soundtrack. Ever. Compiled by music director and overall musical genius Alexandra Patsava, who has set TV shows including "The O.C.," "Grey's Anatomy," and "Mad Men" to music, OMFGG is filled with tracks from a collection of today's coolest indie artists like the Ting Tings, the Virgins, and the Republic Tigers. OMFGG No. 1 will hit stores on October 28, but you can purchase the entire album online right now. Although there are some great tunes not included in the soundtrack, I think the 13 songs (see complete track listing below) totally represent the tone and style of music on the show. Who would've thought the sound of 'gossip' could be so rockin'?

Miley rocks out! - Jackson Lee/Splash NewsWhat is wrong with me? Seriously. The shame is sickening, but I have to get this off my chest. Ok, here it goes: I love the new Miley Cyrus album.

I'm beyond embarrassed, but it's true. I want to hate on all things "Hannah Montana," but once you listen to "Breakout," you'll totally agree with me. Surprisingly, Miley's first true attempt to be taken seriously as a pop princess, alongside the likes of Avril Lavigne and Britney Spears, works. She may not have Taylor Swift's guitar skills, nor Kelly Clarkson's vocal capabilities, but you have to give the girl some credit. She actually wrote or co-wrote 10 of the 12 tracks on the record!

Don't get me wrong; "Breakout" is an over-produced pop album, filled with its share of magical enhancements thanks to a talented team of engineers. But, that doesn't mean that the 38 minutes of fun aren't jam-packed with fist-pumping choruses ("7 Things") and candy-coated hooks ("See You Again") courtesy of the tween queen.

Apparently Miley Cyrus isn't a big fan of her fellow Disney darling Selena Gomez. Not only is Selena dating Miley's ex-boyfriend, Nick Jonas, but the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star is also rumored to be Miley's successor at the Mouse House. With the romance between Selena and Nick heating up in recent weeks, a YouTube clip starring a miffed Miley has resurfaced. In the video, Miley and her gal pal Mandy openly mock Selena and her BFF, "Camp Rock" cutie Demi Lovato. Cleary, Ms. Hannah Montana is mad.

To tell you the truth, I'm team Miley. Couldn't Nick Jonas hook up with someone else besides a Disney star, especially the one who is considered to be Miley's heir apparent? He's a silly 15-year-old, so I suppose that's asking too much. And … dare I say it? Selena kinda annoys me. She seems totally fake.
