Hayden, 22, continues to crusade on behalf of dolphins and whales, Washington, D.C. statehood, and -- oh yes -- acting! She's headed back to the silver screen on October 14 with a limited release of her emotional new film, "Fireflies in the Garden," with Julia Roberts and Ryan Reynolds. It shows a family struggling through grief after an accident, with plenty of flashbacks featuring Hayden.

      The "Scream 4" star chatted with omg! about her new film, her motivation for activism, and her feelings about the Amanda Knox verdict after playing the controversial young American in a made-for-TV movie earlier this year.

The former Disney darling has managed the rocky transition from TV teen to pop star. Now the 19-year-old is hitting the road on her own, with 10 concerts scheduled from Detroit to New Orleans to Chicago beginning November 16 and ending December 3.

      While she's got plenty of work ahead of her, for now the "Skyscraper" singer is indulging in a little downtime in Los Angeles. Demi was even spotted leaving Mexican restaurant Casa Vega on Monday night sporting a funky new look, including a nose ring! Demi's come to realize, as she recently explained on her Seventeen blog, that in order to stay sane, she needs to strike a balance between her personal and professional lives.

      Joe Jonas is trying hard to transition from a teen idol to grown-up solo artist. He's already hyped for the October 11 release of his debut solo album, Fast Life, and he's just finished a month-long tour without his Jonas Brothers bandmates Kevin and Nick. Instead, the former Disney star took the stage alongside his co-headliner for the string of concerts, hitmaker Jay Sean.

      But the 22-year-old was reminded Thursday that his status as a teen heartthrob is almost impossible to escape. Joe's brother Kevin, 23, surprised the crowd by jumping onstage with him and singing a medley of Jonas Brothers' hits during Joe's gig at Best Buy Theater in NYC. Sometimes I don't know whether to sympathize with the 18-year-old actress/singer or shake her like an older sister! It seems simple: if you know the paparazzi are going to be watching you -- as they always are in the former Disney star's case -- do not spend your nights looking dazed and confused as you come out of high-profile places like the Chateau Marmont.

      Unfortunately, that's exactly what Miley did Saturday night as she partied it up in West Hollywood. Wearing black lace tights and short denim cutoffs with accessories galore, the underage star was caught in yet another awkward spot.
