Miley Cyrus Left ‘Broken’ After Dog’s Death: ‘I Have Never Been So Hurt in All My Life’

If there's one thing we know about Miley Cyrus, it's her deep devotion to animals, especially the six rescue dogs she and her family has at home. And so now that one of her beloved pets has passed away, the star is understandably devastated. "Can't think of one good reason to get out of bed today," Cyrus tweeted cryptically, which caused her devoted followers to enquire about what had her so upset. "For everyone asking... I have never been so hurt in my life. My heart has never been so broken..... Lila my sweet baby girl has passed away."

About an hour later, the 20-year-old added, "Broken. Gonna go MIA for a bit. Need some healing time. Thank you to everyone who has sent love my way. I need it."

Lila, a Yorkie mix, was approximately 2-years-old. It's unclear at this time how she exactly died. Twitter followers are well aware of Cyrus' love for her tiniest pup (she also has bulldog Ziggy, Siberian husky Floyd, Rottweiler-beagle mix Happy, and pit bull mix Mary Jane). As recently as November 29, the "Last Song" actress tweeted a photo of the little one wearing a red sweater with the caption "Princess Lila." Three days before that, Cyrus posted another shot of four of her dogs all lined up nicely at their bowls eating together.

Not long after she adopted Mary Jane in May of this year, Miley tweeted, "As all my dogs jumped on my face the first words out of my mouth this morning...'I am living my dream life.'"

Hopefully, she can get back to that dream soon … which we imagine will include lots more rescued dogs!
