"The X Factor" judge announced on Monday that she is the proud pet parent of a puppy named Hannah. "I want you all to meet my new little baby girl @hannahspears," the "Scream and Shout" singer tweeted. "How cute is she?!?!"
We'll go ahead and answer Britney's question by saying extremely cute. The itty bitty black-and-brown pup fit comfortably in just one of the pop princess' hands. And the 30-year-old beamed as she cuddled the canine cutie.
Believe it or not, Hannah Spears is already popular on the social media scene. Brit has set up a Twitter account for the dog and it has nearly 7,000 followers so far! A sample tweet: "What should I chase today … squirrel or chipmunk? Arf arf!"
Fortunately, Britney has plenty of peeps to share dog-walking duties with at home, including her two sons Preston, 7, and Jayden, 6, and her fiancé Jason Trawick. This isn't the first pet for the Spears household either. Through the years she's owned several pooches, including a Chihuahua named Bit Bit and a Yorkie named London. However, she reportedly relinquished custody of those dogs to a family friend after her public breakdown in 2007.
But things have been looking up for Britney, who turns 31 this weekend. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, she even got to spend some quality time with her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, who was visiting Los Angeles. On Sunday, the sister act — accompanied by Britney's sons (who both look so grown up with their spiked hairdos) — hit a Target store for a shopping spree.

It was a quiet moment before what will be a busy week for the star. In addition to her regular judging duties on "The X Factor," Britney will be debuting her new video for "Scream and Shout" on the show Wednesday. The dance track is a musical collaboration with will.i.am, which appears on his upcoming solo album #willpower. It's already generating big buzz, and Britney seems just as eager as her fans do for the big premiere, tweeting, "I can't wait!"
We can't wait for the "Scream and Shout" video either. Paws crossed that it features a cameo by Hannah Spears!
