Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Sing Goodbye to Tennessee Farm to Tune of $20M

When it comes to buying and selling celebrity residences that run in the tens of millions of dollars, the action usually takes place in high-priced cities like Los Angeles and New York. But this time around it’s the Nashville suburb of Franklin, Tennessee, that’s getting the attention now that country music royal couple Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have listed their estate there for $20 million, according to real estate website Zillow.

The next buyers will certainly be getting plenty for their money: The property totals 753 acres and includes four residences and a barn.

One residence is an Antebellum-style house, which, according to the listing agent’s notes, was the former home of Hank Williams Sr. and "needs restoration." There's also a 12-stall barn with an attached caretaker's apartment that totals 1,188 square feet and a 3-bedroom, 3,330-square-foot restored log home built in 1850. Based on interior shots, that's the more luxurious home that probably gets used the most with its hardwood floors, stone fireplaces, screened-in porch, and double-sink master bathroom. The listing also touts rolling pastures, ponds, spring-fed creeks, and the fact the place is a "nature lover's paradise."

McGraw and Hill, who have been married for nearly 17 years, aren't leaving the Volunteer State, though. They currently own two other homes in Nasvhille: a custom-built mansion they share with their three daughters (which took four years to build) and another house currently on the market for $2.9 million.

And if the future residents of the 753-acre farm are looking for some romantic ideas to celebrate after their $20 million splurge, try this one: In 2009, McGraw told Men's Journal that he set up a "Lawrence of Arabia"-style tent in a field on the property, where he and Hill had a romantic dinner and a movie screening to mark their 10-year anniversary. "My wife loves foreign films, but I can't remember what it was," he said. "We didn't watch a lot of the movie, if you know what I mean."

OK then!
