Is Taylor Swift Fanning the Flames of New Breakup Rumors?

Could One Direction’s Harry Styles already be yet another subject for Taylor Swift’s next album? According to Business Insider, the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer has some new breakup material, and she isn’t doing much to make the world believe any differently.

While Harry has kept quiet thus far regarding reports of the couple’s demise, on January 5, Taylor cryptically tweeted a partial lyric from her current single, “I Knew You Were Trouble.” “...'til you put me down,” she wrote. It’s open to interpretation what that might mean, but she certainly hasn’t given any further clues.

The country superstar has a well-known habit of turning her ex-boyfriends into fodder for her best-selling albums. Many of her exes, which include Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas, John Mayer, Taylor Lautner and (most recently) Conor Kennedy – have been the inspiration for some of her biggest hits. For example, her song “Back to December” is widely rumored to be about Lautner and “The Story of Us” was reportedly all about Mayer.

omg! has reached out to reps for both Swift and Styles but has yet to hear back.

Meanwhile, the Internet is exploding with comments over whether or not Haylor will “ever, ever (be) getting back together.” A search for both of their names on Twitter shows that fans are dying to get a definitive answer from the couple one way or another. Several fans joked online that Taylor must have gone in the “Wrong Direction.”

So, here’s how the trajectory of the rumored breakup reportedly went down. After spending Christmas in Park City with Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, and later spending New Year’s Eve together in New York City, Taylor and Harry then jetted off to Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands for a romantic holiday.

Things appeared to be going well at first as the couple was spotted dining at CocoMaya restaurant on January 1, where they happily posed for pictures with fans. However, a heated argument reportedly sent Taylor packing a few days later.

On Friday, January 4, Swift caught the first flight back to the U.S. after reportedly ending her two-month relationship with Styles.

Apparently, that didn’t make the “One Direction” singer too upset though. He was then photographed over at Sir Richard Branson’s private Necker Island where a source tells Business Insider, "he did plenty of partying and was definitely enjoying himself while hanging out with guests.” Harry then returned to Virgin Gorda after “looking like he had a raucous night.”

Pictures surfaced online today of Harry posing with fans after returning solo to NYC on Sunday, later arriving in London on Monday.
